that brings together over 150 prominent supporters and
builders of the local ski racing scene!

Foursomes $500 - Singles $150 - Dinner only $50
 On-site registration: 10:30 am
 BBQ Lunch: 11:00 am
 18 hole shotgun start: 12:00 pm
 Reception, dinner, auction, prizes: 5:30 pm

Guest of Honour for 2015: Don Lyon
Don Lyon began his coaching career in the late 1960’s. He joined the Canadian
Alpine Ski Team as a coach in 1970. Don is linked to many of the best known
athletes in Canadian women’s ski racing including: 1974 World Silver Medalist
Betsy Clifford, 1976 Olympic GS Champion Kathy Kreiner, 1981 the 1st North
American skier to win the overall Euro Cup Dee Dee Haight, 1982 World Champion
and 4 time World Cup Downhill Gold medal winner Gerry Sorenson, 1982 World
Champion Bronze medal and 5 time World Cup winner and won the 1st ever SG
world cup Laurie Graham, 1986 World Cup winner Liisa Savijarvi, double Olympic
Medalist and World Silver Medalist Karen Percy, Olympic Champion Karrin LeeGartner and 1993 World Champion Kate Pace-Lindsay. All in all, “Lyon’s Lyons”
won 17 world cup golds, 4 Olympic medals and 2 World Championships.
Each year, the NCO Golf Tournament hosts a special guest of honour – a member of the community who has
served as a “Builder” of Alpine Skiing in the National Capital/Outaouais Region. Past guests of honour include:
JP (Jeep) Piche, Kim Rawley, Ron Cole, Shaun Fripp, Kevin Pidgeon & Natalie Tommy, and Judy Crawford.

development of alpine skiing
excellence in the youth of
the National
Capital/Outaouais Region.
During the 2014/2015
season, the National Capital
Division and Outaouais Ski
Zone has had over 1,000
athletes in racing programs.
The National Capital
Outaouais (NCO)
development ski racing
team is composed of the
best regional athletes at the U16 and FIS (16+ yrs old) levels. These athletes represent the National
Capital/Outaouais Region at provincial and national competitions. It is among these competitors that –
with your help - we will find Canada's next Olympic alpine ski racers.
