Head Office 174 Broadway (cnr Shepherd St) Broadway NSW 2007 Ph 02 9288 8700 Fax 02 9211 6518 [email protected] JOB DESCRIPTION Manager of Transition Programs – Greater Western Sydney (GWS) Principal Function To oversee and co-ordinate all aspects of CRC’s Transition Programs in the Greater Western Sydney Region working with people affected by the criminal justice system, including programs in partnership with Going Home Staying Home (GHSH) partner organisations. To oversee the management and supervision of all Transition Programs GWS staff. To work collaboratively with the CRC Management Team across all projects and sites on a needs basis. To ensure timely and accurate project reporting to funding bodies and partner organisations. To adhere to all funding guidelines and the policies and procedures of CRC. To be a supportive, flexible and active member of the CRC Management Team. Relationships • • • • • • Accountable to the Board of Management through the Chief Executive Officer Reports to the Chief Executive Officer Relates to the CRC Management Team Oversees all Transition Programs GWS staff Liaises with all CRC staff Liaises with all GHSH partner organisations Principal Roles • • • • • • • • • • To oversee the development and administration of Transition Programs GWS including but not limited to the STARS Program, Extended Reintegration Service, Blue Mountains/Nepean Adult Homelessness Service, and the Women’s Homelessness Support Service. To oversee the closure of defunded projects and the establishment of newly funded projects within the GWS region as required. To oversee all CRC Transition Programs GWS budgets in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer and Management Accountant. To oversee and regularly review all aspects of the Transition Programs GWS casework services. To perform all HR functions in relation to program staff in conjunction with the Service Development Manager – HR including but not limited to recruitment, probity checks, induction, injury management, performance management and review and grievance resolution. To offer project and clinical supervision of Transition Programs GWS staff. To oversee the maintenance and care of Transition Program properties, where applicable. To coordinate staff meetings for the dissemination of information and peer support. To liaise and network with relevant community, government and non-government organisations to ensure appropriate referral sources for clients. To develop strategic connections and productive relationships with key external stakeholders. To participate in the ongoing evaluation, implementation and development of best practice programs for people involved in the criminal justice system. To ensure timely and accurate project reporting to funding bodies and partner organisations in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer. To have responsibility for internal program reporting, record keeping, system reviews and database management collation as required by Management. To maintain and develop partnerships with key housing providers. To meet regularly with the CRC Management Team re administrative, project and client issues. To carry out Risk Management and WHS operations in liaison with the Service Development Manager - HR. To liaise with the Service Development Manager – Admin regarding administrative issues, including Fleet. To liaise with the Manager of IT regarding IT issues. To provide additional support to members of the CRC Management Team across all programs and CRC sites on a needs basis. To develop and regularly review procedures relating to Transition Programs GWS. To ensure compliance with all CRC policy and procedures, relevant legislation and industry regulations. To take reasonable care of their own health and safety and the health and safety of others, and ensure they comply with any reasonable instruction by CRC management. To ensure all project staff take reasonable care for their own health and safety and comply with any reasonable instruction by CRC management. To oversee the maintenance of accurate records and statistics. To attend regular supervision. To attend relevant training and professional development programs. To undertake other duties consistent with the functions and role of the position.
