May Newsletter
May 2015 GWEN PAYNE, EDITOR-Marina Picconi, Et al, PUBLISHERs
President’s Message
Greetings
Special thanks was given to Billy Harper and Our Song for
their cooperation which allowed us to move the December
Dinner Dance to December 13th.
I would encourage all members to pay closer attention to
the newsletter calendar as regards to our deadlines. This is
very important for our dinner dances, happy hours and
Sunday brunches. Promptly call (Brunch) or send payment
by the date specified in the newsletter (Dinner Dance). This
way they’ll know how many to prepare for. It’s also just
plain common courtesy.
The Web site is approaching completion, hopefully for the
May newsletter,
Check out the clubs name badges. The officers already
received theirs and are now wearing them. They are
attached with a magnet…no pins or clips to damage your
garments. The cost is just $10. We have 14 members who
have ordered their, so let’s keep the orders coming in.
Contact Eva Nygard or Linda Lee to order. Deadline is the
end of June.
Men, take advantage or our Mixers and Ladies, be sure to
participate in the Ladies Choice. It’s a great way to meet
new friends.
Our club was organized on Oct. 20, 1973. This October we
will be 42 years strong. The first meeting was attended by
40 women and 1 man. As word spread the membership
grew.
See you at your table,
Roger Davis, President

It’s Picnic Planning Time
We’re determined to have a picnic this year! We need
some volunteers to do the planning. What we would like
to do is start a committee to organize all the details and
appoint others to help out. We are currently working on a
venue as well as a firm date. Hopefully we will have
both of these by the next Newsletter.
FYI
We’re trying to make things simpler for you. Note the
calendar with added information. Hope you find it
helpful.
We cannot stress this enough. Let’s make the
Treasurer’s job a little easier by adhering to the
deadlines set forth for reservations. We all work hard
to make this a fun club for you to enjoy. If you don’t
volunteer at least help us in this way. Paying at the
door is forbidden.
