Starting 1 July 2015: New jobactive services for job seekers

In coming months, the Department of Employment will start the process of connecting job
seekers with the new jobactive services.
Will job seekers receive information about the changeover?
Yes.
 In April 2015, job seekers will be sent information about jobactive.
 Between late May and early June 2015 the Department of Employment will tell job
seekers more about their eligibility for the new services and, if applicable, who their
jobactive organisation will be from 1 July 2015.
From 1 July 2015, NESAY Employment Services will NOT be one of the
new jobactive organisations.
“NESAY will continue to assist with youth and family support, school
engagement, housing and community engagement services.”
What does this mean for you?

This means that you may receive help to look for work from a different organisation in the
future.
What do you have to do now?


At the moment, it is important that you continue to attend all appointments with your
current Job Services Australia provider and attend any job interviews and activities that are
organised for you.
If you do not, your income support payment may be affected.
