NewDay, a leading specialist financial services company and one of the largest issuers of
credit cards in the UK, is re-launching the marbles credit card to meet the demands of
consumers in the Near Prime credit market.
The Near Prime credit market has an estimated 10 million consumers*, but NewDay has
identified that the needs of consumers within this group vary, and consequently, they require
specific credit products that are tailored to meet their individual needs. Managing a credit card
responsibly by making payments on time and staying within the credit limit can help
consumers’ improve their credit rating.
While some consumers are looking for products and services that support their need to
establish a credit history, others are seeking products that help them improve their credit rating
after having problems in the past. The re-launch of the marbles credit card is targeted at those
customers.

The marbles credit card offers a range of tools and features that can help customers manage
their credit closely as they re-build their credit record. Customers can choose a monthly
payment date that suits them (and change it up to twice a year) and, in addition, receive spend
and payment text alerts throughout the month. But importantly, applicants can also use
FastCheck, to discover the likelihood of being accepted before applying, without impacting
their credit record.
The marbles classic credit card, with a representative APR of 33.8% (variable), will offer
customers an initial credit limit of between £250 and £1,200.

The marbles credit card re-launches on 27th May 2015 and will sit alongside the existing aqua
credit card range also provided by NewDay, supporting the varying needs of customers within
the Near Prime market.
