The quizmaster for Trishna 9 is none other than Mr. Arun Hiregange, who
navigated the participants and audience through a scintillating evening of
quizzing during Trishna 8 in April 2014. Mr. Arun is a graduate in Electrical
Engineering from IIT, Delhi and a postgraduate from IISc Bangalore. Mr.Arun,
the co-founder of AllGo Embedded System, Bangalore, was the winner of the
BiG Q of 2010 and is an active member of Karnataka Quiz Association (KQA)

Format of the Quiz:
“This is absolutely a friendly quiz. No specific topics. It might touch upon anything under the sun.
Because of the same, no need for any prior preparation. Participants need not worry about formats,
scores, timing etc. Come and participate just as it is and let us all enjoy this informative quizzing
rendezvous.”
* An individual shall participate only in one category.
** Super Senior means those who are above the child category (Above class XIII during academic year 2014-15)
Appellate Committee:
A five member appellate committee is formed to handle all complaints related to the conduct of
the Quiz, except the decisions of the Quiz Master on awarding marks. The committee shall
comprise:

Team scoring maximum points based on the above criteria shall be the overall champion. If
there is a tie, the overall championship will be shared by the tied teams.

In the event of a tie for any of the first three positions in any of the two categories,
tiebreaker shall be applied by the quizmaster to decide the winner.

In the event of a tie, in a category, for any of the positions from 4 to 7, each team will get
the points of the position shared.
For example, if 3 teams in the children category are tied for fourth position, each team will be
awarded 12 points (direct points for fourth position). The next team will be considered in the
7th Position.
