Houston, TX 77073 832-484-6400 Principal: Amber Kent Associate Principal: Dr. Julie Barrett Assistant Principal: Pam Demny Spring 2015 April 2015 PRINCIPAL’S CORNER CLINIC’S CORNER I love this time of year as the growth of not only the landscape outside is prominent, but the academic and social growth of our students is blooming, too. I am proud of how hard our students and teachers are working to improve overall growth this school year. Thank you so much for your support in continuing to communicate with our teachers, your child, and assisting with homework. A great team builds each other up, and we all are doing that together for the benefit of children. In addition, testing season is among us, and we ask that you continue to hug, love and encourage your child through the end of the school year. We know our Nitsch Knights will conquer these state assessments successfully, as quality teaching and learning occurs daily in our school. Thank you, Amber Kent The 4th Annual Kleinwell Family Fitness Fair is Saturday, May 2, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Klein Memorial Stadium. The Fair features community vendors, games, music, moonwalks, and FREE fun activities for everyone. During the Fair more than 50 Door prices will be given away including restaurant gift cards, selfie sticks, ear buds, lego sets, Top Golf package, and much more! Federal Report Cards for the state as a whole, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available on the district’s web site at this link: www.kleinisd.net/annualreport. If you have difficulty accessing the information from the web site, hard copies of the reports are available through the campus principal’s office. LIBRARY’S CORNER We had SUCH a GREAT TIME during our Read Across America Day, celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We had wonderful reading activities going on, everyone dropped everything and READ together across the campus, and we had a fabulous CHARACTER DRESS UP DAY with a wonderful parade that night at Open House to wrap things up!
