Volume 14, Issue 28 As a body of believers, we are called upon to be constantly in prayer (I Thess. 5:17). These weekly notes will list different prayer items that I hope you will remember as you spend time in prayer each day. Thank you for the cards, gifts, and kind words. It REALLY does mean a lot to all of us. We are blessed to have amazing parents to work with. Math Olympics Spirit Day Last Friday we had several students representing NKCS at the Math Olympics in Bakersfield. Please pray for the board as they are planning the BBQ Registration in May. Pray for Information about early bird registration for the 2015/2016 school year went home last the enrollment of week with your child. Please fill out your intent to the school to grow return and return it ASAP as we are planning for as we begin next year. Study Hall Study hall is in need of snacks. If your child attends study hall after school, please consider sending in snacks. This is another way to earn PIR hours. 8th Grade Parents The meeting that was scheduled for Friday, April 24th has been changed to Thursday, April, 23 at 4:00 P.M. We will be discussing graduation details. PLEASE try to be at the meeting so we can plan a successful ceremony. Workday Friday, 4/17 Saturday, 4/25 Softball game @ NKCS There will be a school workday on Saturday, NKCS vs Pond @ 1:00 PM April 25th at 8:00 am. This is the Saturday before the Spirit Shirt Day school BBQ and carnival. We will have lot’s of visitors on our campus the day of the BBQ and we want our BBQ Tickets Turned In school to look it’s best. This is a great way to get those much needed PIR hours before the end of the school year. Work Day @ NKCS There is something for everyone to do. April 30– May 1 Kindergarten Open House Saturday, May 2 NKCS BBQ Tuesday, 4/21 School Uniforms Please check your child’s school uniforms. The girls skirts and jumpers are not to be higher than 2 inches above the knee. If their shorts under their skirt is hanging May 5-12 8th Graders to Washington D.C. out the bottom the skirt is too short. Also uniform pants and shorts should not be faded or have holes. We realize Upcoming Dates: school is almost out, but please make sure your child’s uniform is still nice. Remember we have the uniform May 24 8th Grade Graduation closet that is full of uniforms. May 25 No School May 26 Pre School Graduation May 26 End of year BBQ/ Softball game May 27 Half Day/ No Study hall We are looking for donations for the silent auction. Donations can be homemade items like jams, jewelry or quilts. They can be themed baskets, or a regular gift certificate. Sign your name and the value of the item to be auctioned. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and takes lots of help to make it a success so please get involved.
