ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY - Norwich Arts Centre
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Main Objective
The Norwich Arts Centre aims to become a leader of sustainability in the multi-arts sector and to achieve a reduction of
approximately 10% in carbon footprint over the next three years (2013 – 2016), from 7.5 tonnes Co2 to 6.75 tonnes Co2 p/a.
To deliver this Norwich Arts Centre aims to:
•
Reduce Norwich Arts Centre's resource consumption and pollution.
•
Reduce Norwich Arts Centre's wastage; in terms of both landfill and recycling.
•
Increase awareness of green issues and sustainability amongst staff with regards to day-to-day procedures through
appropriate signage.
•
Act as an ambassador amongst the local arts community to increase awareness of green policies through appropriate
signage and online presence.
•
Norwich Arts Centre already actively encourages staff to travel to work via public transport, walking, or cycling. This will
continue and will branch into the wider community.
•
Norwich Arts Centre is committed to continuing the work started in 2008 with our Environmental Review Report by
monitoring and improving our action plan.
