FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NoviFlow announces support for OF-CONFIG and a complete set of operation & maintenance features in its OpenFlow switching products New protocol support advances maturity of OpenFlow switches for deployments in carrier, data center and enterprise networks Paris, France – March 17th, 2015 – NoviFlow Inc., a leading provider of Software Defined Networking (SDN) switching solutions, today announced support for the OFCONFIG 1.1.1/1.2 OpenFlow switch configuration protocol for its NoviSwitch line of high-performance OpenFlow switches. The protocol extends the NoviSwitch’s list of advanced configuration and management features specifically designed to optimize large scale deployments in carrier, data center and enterprise networks. These features include: • • • • • • • • • • • TACACS+ RADIUS for CLI access control and accounting Access Control Lists (allowed IP addresses) for access control to management ports CLI Log with accessing IP address for configuration change traceability CLI Log export to external Log server SNMP traps for hardware fault alarms Remote reboot Load new/rollback to previous s/w revisions Manual and automatic (server based) configuration load and restore VLAN on management port Switch configuration export/import in binary and text format According to Dominique Jodoin, President and CEO of NoviFlow: “NoviFlow’s NoviSwitch line of OpenFlow switches represents a huge advance in the maturity of OpenFlow switching equipment for carriers, data centers and enterprises. We are one of the only companies offering a blend of native high-performance SDN switches supporting OF-CONFIG with a rich set of configuration and management features that are usually available only in expensive top-end switches and routers. This unique combination is why Tier 1 carriers and global network infrastructure companies are choosing NoviSwitches in the deployment of scalable, robust, and high-demand SDN, cloud, and NFV solutions.” OF-CONFIG is available via the NoviWare 300 software release, for use in high-volume mission critical deployments. NoviWare 300 provides the industry’s broadest support of the OpenFlow 1.3 specification, including all actions, instructions and match fields, and key OpenFlow 1.4 features. It delivers the capabilities and performance needed by intensive, leading-edge SDN and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) applications. “OF-CONFIG provides a standard way to modify the basic OpenFlow configuration for the operation of an OpenFlow switch. At the same time, it provides vendors the ability to extend their products and innovate by providing new and improved configuration capabilities. By implementing both OF-CONFIG and conventional configuration and management protocols, NoviFlow ensures that NoviSwitch products can be smoothly integrated within existing networks while still providing the CAPEX and OPEX benefits of SDN, all with minimal programming and management effort,” added Jodoin. NoviWare 300 software release, comprising OF-CONFIG 1.1.1/1.2 and a rich set of additional Operation & Maintenance features, can be ordered now. Come meet NoviFlow on March 17th at the Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris, where Marc LeClerc, NoviFlow’s VP of Strategy and Marketing, will be chairing the ONF SDN Workshop at the NFV & SDN Summit 2015.
