MT T50
OBEX Modular Terminal MT T50 complies with prEN1317 part 7 and is formed with steel
components to resist the head on impact of vehicles over a minimum barrier length.
OBEX MT T50 is a fully upright terminal that withstands vehicle impact by compression
of its unique energy absorbing steel cellular sections and the tension resistance of
anchored steel wire rope. Steel sections are to grade S275 and S235, galvanised to EN
1461 and connected with grade 8.8 bolts. The barrier system is to be installed by trained
and certified OBEX installers in accordance with the OBEX installation manual. OBEX
MT T50 is suitable for connection to both 2-Wave and 3-Wave corrugated beam guardrail
systems in addition to other safety fence configuration. The OBEX Modular Terminal
design concept is unique, innovative and covered with a Patent Pending application (UK
No. 1421308.6).

Notes:
1. OBEX MT T50 relies on the anchorage of steel posts into soil. Soil
should be granular and well compacted with posts installed using
a hydraulic post driving machine. Soil parameters proposed for
use with OBEX MT T50 can be reviewed by the OBEX Technical
Department where necessary.
2. OBEX MT T50 is designed for guardrail to connect to the side of
the steel plate through pre-drilled holes at the junction. The OBEX
Technical Department can also provide non-standard/ bespoke
connections to guardrail where required.
