REGULATIONS OF THE OFF FASHION CONTEST FOR FASHION
DESIGNERS AND ENTHUSIASTS 12.VI – 13.VI. 2015 KIELCE
XVII EDITION - ORIENT EXPRESS
§1
General provisions
1. Organizers of the Off Fashion Contest: The Cultural Centre of Kielce (Kieleckie
Centrum Kultury), Pl. Moniuszki 2b, Kielce.

3. The semi - final will be held on 12.VI. 2015 of Kielce (Baza Zbożowa, Kielce street
Zbożowa 4).
4. The final show will be held on 13.VI. 2015 at 19:00 hours at the Cultural Centre of
Kielce.
5. The Contest is open for anyone and it is addressed to all designers who meet the terms
and conditions of these Regulations.
6. School-goers, university students, graduates from universities of fine arts, clothing
design schools and individuals with a passion for clothing design are welcome to
participate in the Contest.
§2
Contest category
Avant-garde fashion in line with the Off Fashion trend. Contestants are asked to min. 4
non-commonplace off-like designs.
§3
Assessment criteria
Off Fashion is a trend that highlights colourfulness of the crowd. It rejects unification
and dullness of streets. It is characterised by a plethora of accessories, surprising
combination of styles, material and colours. Avant-garde fashion is not limited to a
specific style, let it be sports or hip-hop.
It is obviously associated with informal clothing, non-standard fashion ideas and
solutions.
In line with the above guidelines, the following assessment criteria are laid down:
1. carefulness of production of clothes
2. choice of colours and accessories
3. creativity in composition and form of clothing
4. searching for new solutions in clothing
5. showiness of a presentation
§4
Stages of the Contest and conditions for participation in the Contest
1. An application form and photographs or drafts of min-4 self-authored designs are to be
sent in by 25.V. 2015 at the following address Kieleckie Centrum Kultury Pl.
Moniuszki 2b, 25-334 Kielce with a note: Biuro Konkursu Off Fashion or by e-mail
at [email protected].
2. Before 29.VI.2015, the Selection Board will choose up a maximum number of 120 best
designs out of the sent-in photographs or drafts of designs. Their authors will be
informed about admission to the finals, which will be held in Kielce.
3. Registration of participants of semi-finals will take place on the premises of the Kielce
(Baza Zbożowa, street Zbożowa 4) on 12.VI.2015 between 9:00 and 14:00 hours.
4. Semi-finals of the Competition, which will select 20 finalists, will be held on the
premises of the Baza Zbożowa Kielce, street Zbożowa 4, on 12.VI. 2015 between 18:00
and 21:00 hours.
5. The Gala Final of the Contest will be held at the Cultural Centre of Kielce on
13.VI.2015 at 19:00 hours.
6. Participants of previous editions of the Contest may not submit to the Contest their
designs that have been shown at the Off Fashion before.
§5
Jury of the Contest
1. The Organizer of the Contest appoints a jury of individuals engaged in fashion business
and experienced in fashion and design.
2. The Jury meets in three sessions: selection of admitted works, semi-finals and finals.
3.The Jury works in closed sessions and its decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
§6
Further information for the participants of the Off Fashion Contest
1. The Organizer of the Contest will provide overnight accommodation on
12/13.VI.2015 to designers who have been qualified to the semi-final show.
2. Participants of the Contest come to Kielce at their own expense.
3. Participants of the Contest present their designs by wearing them themselves, using
their own models or taking advantage of models made available by the Organizer (subject
to the placement of an order in a relevant section of the application form).
4. Participants of the semi-final shows held on Friday 12.VI. 2015 are required to present
their designs with their own music track (3 minutes max.) on CD (CD audio format).
5. Participants of the semi-final and final shows should contact a show coordinator
regarding all issues related to the presentation of their collection.
6. Competition Organiser reserves the right to free reproduction of images provided by
the Participants in the post-competition catalog and of images from the contest in the
press, television and other post-competition publications, including commercial
publishers.
§7
Awards and honorary distinctions
1.The Jury of the Contest presents awards for:
1st Place:
: a Title of the Best Off Designer and a bronze statue of the President of the City of
Kielce created by the sculptural artist S. Mick.
: Money Award - PLN 15,000
2nd Place:
: Money Award - PLN 6,000
3rd Place:
: Money Award - PLN 3,000 - funded by the President of Kielce Fairs
2. Apart from the statutory awards, honorary distinctions can be awarded by sponsors
and media holding patronage over the Contest in accordance with uniform principles.
