Come join the Oak Hills community in an effort to raise funds for our 4th Annual “One Hope, One Heart Fundraiser”. The faculty members from each of the nine Oak Hills Local School District buildings and District Office will battle in a volleyball tournament. In addition to the volleyball tournament, this family centered event raises money through concessions, t-shirt sales, raffle baskets and children’s games. Come out to the game and see Mr. Winters, Mrs. Burlew, Mr. Miller, Mr. Rothwell, Mr. Crowe, Mr. Winkle, Mrs. Cahill, Miss Parrish, Mrs. Scheckel, Mrs. Holocher and Mrs. Matre play against the Staff from other Oak Hills Schools. We would love to have the biggest and best crowd at the game! SPRING BOOKFAIR Spring Bookfair is Monday, April 13th through Friday April 17th. The Bookfair will be open Monday –Thurs from 8:00am to 3:00pm. We are in need of volunteer to help run the fair. MOTHER’S DAY FLOWER SALE Fifth Grade Students will be selling beautiful, carved wooden roses that will come in various colors for Mother’s Day. All profits from this sale will be used to purchase a gift for the school from the 5th grade. Please return all order forms by April 17th with payment. Flowers will be delivered Friday, May 8th. PASTRIES WITH PARENTS Join us April 14th, 15th and 16th from 7:45 to 8:45 for Pastries with Parents. We will be serving PASTRIES, juice and coffee. ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE A huge congratulations to our 5th graders for winning our 3rd quarter attendance challenge!! Your reward will be presented soon! This week marks the first week of our 4th quarter competition. Students in grades 1 through 5 are competing to be the grade with the highest attendance at the end of the quarter. Students are also working towards individual classroom rewards for attendance. Week 1: After the first week, Grade 1 is in the lead! They had 94.2% attendance this week. Good job, 1st grade!! MAY 22ND IS A CALAMITY MAKE UP DAY To make up the Calamity Days for this school year, the Teacher In-Service Day scheduled for Friday, May 22nd has now been changed to a regular school day on which all students are required to attend. OHYA SAY SOCCER Registration NOW OPEN. Closes May 31. Participation is open for kids in grades K through 12. Little Kickersprogram is for players who are ages 4 or 5 as of July 31, 2015. The Green Township Trustees voted on a resolution of intent to donate $100,000 to the Scottie Yard Playground Monday night! He is courageously coming to school between treatments and facing his journey with a smile on his face and amazing superhero strength. There is a benefit planned for Ryley on May 23. Also students are to be picked up from school no later than 3:20.
