Ontario for local consumption and for export to the U.S.
Niagara is home to the first hydro-electric plant in the

Ontario agri-food businesses and rural communities.
Sustainability of a vibrant agriculture and food industry is also

Owned by Mr. Ton Boekestyn, this 2 ha greenhouse business

converted from cut flowers. Trout are grown with organic food
in fish tanks. The fish waste is then filtered, digested and the
nutrient solution is used to feed the leafy greenhouse
vegetables.
Park Lane Farms/ Tweed Inc. Medicinal Marijuana
The Park Lane greenhouse operation has recently been
purchased by Tweed Inc., a licensed producer and seller of
medicinal marijuana. Mr. Jason Goodale, production
manager, will discuss protocols for growing medicinal

different ratios of THC (psychoactive) and CBD (nonpsychoactive or medicinal) compounds.
