EASTER TRIDUUM
April 2 ~ Holy Thursday
Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper: 7:00 pm
(The Altar of Repose of the Blessed Sacrament will be in the Marian Chapel of the Church behind the main altar
and adoration will close at 11:45 pm with night prayer.)
April 3 ~ Good Friday
Service of the Lord’s Passion & Way of the Cross - 2:00 pm – Hosted by the Deacons
7:00 pm – Good Friday Service - The Lord’s Passion Liturgy
April 4 ~ Holy Saturday – No Confessions – will Resume on April 11
Blessing of the Easter Foods: 1:00 pm
Easter Vigil Mass: 8:00 pm – 1 ½ Hour Duration

Montini Catholic Junior Places 9th In State In
Voice of Democracy Essay Contest
Montini Catholic High School Junior Warren Dawes, an Eagle
Scout from Boy Scout Troop 97 and representing VFW Post 2838
in Darien was the District winner of the VFW’s Voice of
Democracy Essay contest. As the District winner, Warren headed
to Springfield for the State competition.
High school students nationwide compete in the essay contest
every year. This year’s theme was “Why Veterans Are Important
to Our Nation’s History and Future.” Warren placed 9th in the
state in this competition.
Warren is a graduate of Our Lady of Peace School and a
parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church.

Athletic Information Night
On behalf of Our Lady of Peace, I would like to invite parents to join us in the gym on
Wednesday, April 8
at 7:00pm
We will be providing parents information on the athletic programs offered in the Fall of 2015.
Parents of current 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th graders are invited to ask questions and hear updates from
OLP Athletic Director Joe Reilly and Coaches from each program.

FOOTBALL, CROSS COUNTRY
We will have sign ups sheets for students who are
planning to participate in September 2015.
OLP rosters for Fall sports are due June 1.
It is important to have your student athletes sign up to ensure teams are available.
We will be sharing volleyball evaluation dates and times for each grade.
