Information
Location
YMCA Cedar Glen is located just north of Toronto in Schomberg,
Ontario (between Bolton and Nobleton). Although it’s only an
hour from downtown Toronto, you’ll feel a million miles away
from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Meals
Meals at YMCA Cedar Glen are
served healthy buffet style at
the following times:
Breakfast at 8AM
Lunch at 12PM
Dinner at 5PM
Camp Cost Includes
• 5 overnight accommodations at the Cedar Glen Lodge
• 3 buffet-style meals per day and snacks
• Full supervision
• Day and evening activities
• A trip to the Rogers Centre to watch a Toronto Blue Jays Game.
• Camp t-shirt
Situated on 263 acres of breathtaking country. YMCA Cedar Glen
is the perfect backdrop for youth to grow in confidence and
learn new skills.
Accommodations
Our sleeping accommodations are quaint wooden lodges
located adjacent to the Main Lodge. Each room has a private
bathroom with shower.
Drop off & Pick Up Dates
Campers are asked to arrive between
3:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Sunday
August 9th, 2015. Campers and Parents
are invited to join us for our welcome
presentation at 4:30 PM.
Campers are to be picked up from
2:00PM and 3:00PM on Friday August
14th, 2015.
Our Campers
Ontario Deaf Youth Sports Camp
welcomes all children and youth 7-17
years of age who are Deaf or Hard of
Hearing. Siblings are also welcome.
Our campers include those who
are culturally Deaf (ASL as a first
language), Oral Deaf (Spoken English
as a first language), Hard of Hearing
and their siblings. At camp, we
welcome campers from a variety
of educational backgrounds, with
or without hearing aids or cochlear
implants, so campers learn to respect
diversity and have a chance to make
new friends.
All camp activities will be fully
accessible to each campers through
both ASL and Spoken English.
Cost and Payments
The complete cost of the Ontario Deaf
Youth Sports Camp is $450 per camper.
$450 payments must be made on with
3 post-dated bi-weekly payments of
$150 or on payment in full by July 9th,
2015.
3 installments of $150 due on:
• July 10th
• July 24th
• Aug 7th
Please note: deposits and camp fees
are non-refundable for any reason.
ODSA membership is required. If
your children doesn’t have ODSA
membership, you can purchase it —
the membership cost $20 for one year.

volleyball on our camp’s

Two-sided structure with
four climbing routes –
groups work together
to safely belay and
encourage climbers.
Night Hike
Learn about night vision,
echolocation, how
animals see at night, and
enjoy an energetic hike
before turning in for the
evening.
Low Ropes
Challenge Course
Progressively demanding
activities that follow
group initiatives;
completion depends on
communication and trust.
Talent Show
Show off your hidden
talents!
High Ropes
Challenge Course
Individuals conquer
challenges with the
encouragement and
support of their peers;
three High Ropes
Challenge courses with
eight unique elements
are available.
Soccer
Improve soccer skills by
participating in drills and
scrimmage matches.
Basketball
Improve basketball skills
by participating in drills
and scrimmage matches.
Survival Skills
Learn how to build a fire,
cook over an open fire,
and build a shelter from
natural materials.
Orienteering
Three courses are
available to learn how to
read a map and how to
use a compass to properly
navigate a course.
Your children will be inspired,
both mentally and physically by
their experiences at ODSA’s
Ontario Deaf Youth Sports Camp!
Large Group Games
Our staff will provide
games for any group size.

Enjoy professional
baseball game during a
group outing.
The Maze
Beat your best time
and build your team’s
communication skills
as two facilitators give
directions from the
observation towers.
