2nd International ABA-Conference for Baby- and Infant Swimming
20th – 22nd March 2015 in Maria Taferl
Dear friends,
We have the pleasure to invite you to our 2nd International ABA-Conference in 2015.
The two main topics for this upcoming conference are:
1. Purpose, methods and results in baby swimming in the age 0-2 in other countries:
What are the aims of the lessons, how will they reach these aims and most important,
what are the results over an observation period of two years concerning the toddlers
progress in swimming?
2. Problems and difficulties in the baby swim classes:
Most of the photos relating to baby swimming show laughing babies, happy children
and parents... but often enough there are problems - what are they in your classes
and how do you deal with these problems? We hope that talking and exchanging
about our experiences and problems can support each other with strategies and tips.
The details of the programme including the planned lectures will soon be provided on
our website www.austrianbabyswim.at.
The conference hotel is located near one of our most popular vine area - the Wachau
- and the village has a famous basilica. It is a very special place... this region is
known as a "holy" place where body and soul harmonize easily.
Also this time the exhibitors have the possibility to offer their material for sale at the
conference.

INFORMATION
The beginning of the conference will be on 20th March 2015 at 5pm. The registration
starts at 4pm.
We want to give our conference a special
beginning. Therefore we will have a guided
tour through the famous basilica with a
short organ concert after the official
opening. Afterwards we invite you to a wine
tasting and a typical Austrian dish - a
„Jause“.
Saturday and Sunday we have several
interesting lectures about our main topics “Purpose, methods and results in baby
swimming in the age 0-2” and “Problems
and difficulties in the baby swim classes”. Each lecture takes about 30 minutes plus
15 minutes for questions. On Saturday afternoon a swim class in the age around 2
will show us their abilities in the hotel pool.
We are looking forward to a fruitful exchange of experiences at the gala dinner on
Saturday evening. On Sunday the conference will end at 1pm. As normally most of
the participants like to leave conferences as soon as possible on the last day, we
offer a warm snack and sandwiches for take away at the extended break in the
morning instead of a lunch.
Dinner and lunch take place in the hotel restaurant. The hotel has gym, sauna,
massages and a pool. Parking is free for hotel guests.
For your arrival by plane and/or train please contact us to give you your individual
possibility to come to Maria Taferl. The next airport is Vienna but you can also fly to
Salzburg, Linz or Munich and go by train to the train station Pöchlarn where you will
be picked up. If you would like to visit our swim schools the days before please feel
free to ask!

On receipt of your registration you will be sent a booking confirmation. Due to the
limited amount of possible participants, please consider that the registration will be on
a first come first served basis in the order that deposits are paid.
The cancellation for the participation at the conference will be charged with EUR 20,until 1st March 2015. After this date the full amount of the fee will be retained except
the participant designates a replacement participant is.
