When asked how we’re doing, we often respond that we are busy. There is so much going on in our lives, dashing from one event to another, running errands, and just trying to keep it all together. In my own life I know this song and dance of busyness all too well. It can really wear on you after a while. The idea of adding something else during the season of Lent can be a little too much for those of us who are defined by our busyness. But perhaps it is precisely because of our busyness that God calls us to a season of fasting and prayer. We need to step back and re-evaluate our lives and our devotion. We do this so that our lives can be transformed from busy to full; full of love and joy, full of holiness and faithfulness, full of peace and grace. Coming to our Lenten lunches, using the Lenten devotional, and participating in the Holy Week services are all great ways to carve out just a little bit of time in the midst of our busy lives. As we join together in these Lenten disciplines of devotion and worship, may your life become empty of all that keeps you from the fullness of God, and may the fullness of God fill you in every way. Peace, Meghan Page 2 167 E. Broad Street Ozark, AL 36360 Phone: 334-774-2569 Fax: 334-774-3831 Our Staff Senior Pastor: Rev.
