Information Packet
2015 marks the 7th Anniversary of the Payson, Arizona Mountain High Games. Making an exciting
comeback from year one is the very well attended Mogollon Monster Mudder.
The course make up will be developed using mountain trails with natural and man-made obstacles. Below
is a sampling of just some of the obstacles that are being planned for this challenging, yet fun course!



This will be a timed event, with emphasis on FUN, TEAMWORK and helping each other finish safely.
Although teams are encouraged they are not a must. You will all be timed independently but all team
members are encouraged to cross the finish together. Costumes encouraged!
There will be a special prize for the best Big Foot Costume that best resembles the Mogollon Monster. The
run will also features a Kidz Monster Mud Run for ages 6-11 years of age. Cost will be $5 per child. Each
child will need to fill out a registration form on the day of the race.
Deadlines:
Pre Registration is available online until May 22, 2015. Pre Registration will close at 5:00 pm (MST).
Absolutely NO online registration will be accepted after this time. The price will go from $60 per person to
$70 per person.

FOLLOWING TIMES. THERE IS A $10 DAY OF REGISTRATION FEE THAT WILL BE ADDED
TOTALING $70 Per Person.

15 minutes.

Center from 12 Noon – 5 PM. Please
bring a signed waiver and your I.D. to
pick up your packet and if you are picking up a friend's packet you will need a copy of there ID and a
signed waiver for them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Entry Fee per person or per team? The entry fee is per person – plus parking fees where
applicable, unless otherwise noted.
What is the distance of the race? The total distance is a little over 3 miles – it’s a 5k.
How hard is it? The Mogollon Monster Mudder is designed to be a fun and challenging event for people
of all levels of fitness. Teamwork is strongly encouraged!
How much time do we get to finish? You'll have 2 hours to finish the 3+ miles (5K). Most individuals
finish in 45 & 90 minutes. You could go less than 2 miles per hour and still complete the course. For
reference, a good brisk walk is usually about 3.5 mph.
Will you provide a course map? Yes – a course map is currently posted on the event page located at
www.paysonrimcountry.com
How old do you have to be to participate? The minimum age is 12. If you are under 18, we also require a
couple additional forms to be signed and returned along with the registration. Please look at the website for
appropriate forms. There will be a Kidz Monster Mud Run for ages 6-11 after the adult run. Cost will be
$5 and your child will need to have a parent or guardian fill out the appropriate forms before they can
compete.
What do I need to bring? Wear clothes that you don't mind gettin' dirty. Leave your jewelry, watches, and
other valuables at home. Bring running shoes and clothes to change into afterward. Might be a good idea to
bring knee pads or elbow pads...just sayin! We'll have showers available to rinse off after the run.
What about costumes? We highly encourage them! Matter of fact, we've got a prize for the team with the
best Big Foot costume that best resembles the Mogollon Monster Costume.
What if it Rains? If it rains, you'll have even more fun! The event goes on rain or shine. The only
exception is if the venue forced us to close due to extreme circumstances. In that case, the event will be
moved to a later date and/or venue.
What if I can't make it? Sorry, there will be no race refunds.
