Wood looks good and lasts longer.
Since 1954, Cox has been the innovative leader
in wood protection for families. Cox offers the
rich, natural beauty of real wood combined
with revolutionary treatment to protect against
weathering and rot. It’s Cox thinking that makes
good wood great.
DuraPine ecolife ™ Stabilized Weather-Resistant Wood is a new
wood preservation technology that is a fully integrated wood
preservative system with built-in protection from the detrimental
effects of weathering. The DuraPine ecolife ™ preservative
system is AWPA standardized as a complete system, combining
next-generation fungicides, biocides, and mold inhibitors for
maximum protection and enhanced performance.

PAINTING AND STAINING OR
NATURAL WEATHERING
DuraPine ecolife™ can be painted or stained to match any
outdoor color scheme. High-quality oil and latex based
paints and stains are recommended. Water repellent
coatings can be applied to enhance the long-term
weathering performance. It is important that the wood is
dry and clean prior to applying any coating. Left uncoated,
or with clear water repellent coatings, DuraPine ecolife ™
will initially weather to a natural brown color, eventually
turning gray following long-term exposure to the sun.
DURAPINE ECOLIFE ™ IS BACKED
BY A LIMITED WARRANTY AGAINST
DECAY AND TERMITE DAMAGE.
PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS
• Innovative non-metallic preservative system is highly
effective at very low concentration levels
• AWPA standardized as a fully integrated system
• Building code compliant under ESR-1851 (IBC & IRC)
NAILS, FASTENERS, & CONNECTORS
• Adherence to AWPA treatment standards is verified by
independent third-party product inspection
DuraPine ecolife™ Stabilized Wood is much less corrosive
to fasteners than traditional treated lumber products.
Fastener corrosion performance matches that of untreated
wood. For the best results, use of building code approved,
corrosion-resistant fasteners and connectors is always
recommended. DuraPine ecolife™ also eliminates concerns
about aluminum compatibility, even in consistently wet
environments. DuraPine ecolife™ Stabilized Wood can be
used adjacent to aluminum flashing with confidence.
