2015 Cinco De Laxo – Penfield Youth Lacrosse Tournament
Cinco De Laxo started in 2005 with just a couple local teams and has grown into a yearly community event.
The tournament involves the entire Penfield lacrosse community. The participating youth players, boys and
girls, are from kindergarten through sixth grade. The 7th – 12th grade Penfield Lacrosse players participate
throughout the day at the event. The tournament now involves over 80 girls and boy’s lacrosse teams from
around Monroe County. This event takes place on Sunday, May 3th, 2015 at the Penfield High School. Last
year, over 3,000 people from the community attended this event. In preparation for the Cinco De Laxo Youth
Lacrosse Tournament we will be asking businesses in the community to help sponsor the event. Sponsoring
provides great exposure for your business and greatly enhances the event itself. Sponsorship funds are
devoted to the tournament costs and the lacrosse programs in the Penfield community. From this tournament
we created a scholarship fund for a graduating senior from both the Varsity girls and boys program. We devote
some of the proceeds to charities and over the years we have supported the Banister family, the STEEL Lillies
Fund and we purchased a bicycle for our mascot, Kenny and many more. What a wonderful difference you
have made for our Penfield Lacrosse Community.
This year, one of our own lacrosse player’s Dad has been diagnosed with brain cancer. This years’ t-shirt will
be grey in support of Brain Cancer Awareness. We would love to have you, again, sponsor our Cinco De Laxo
Tournament, in support of all the good causes these funds will go toward.
