Mission Statement
The Mission of the Pennsauken Public School District is to provide a safe, challenging,
and enriching learning environment for all students that leads to academic success and
the development of personal responsibility and self-directed lifelong learning needed to
become contributing members of a diverse, global society.
Board Beliefs
The Pennsauken Board of Education believes:
 The well-being of our students is the foremost consideration in all district
decision making.
 Every child can learn and succeed.
 Higher expectations will yield higher results.
 Schools are most effective when there is a shared commitment and shared
responsibility between home, school, and the community at large.
 The diversity of our community is one of our greatest assets.
 Excellent educational services are always worth the investment.
Board of Education Goals
 Improve student achievement at all levels for all students with the focus on
improved programs and improved instruction.
 Create a properly aligned, cost‐effective budget that provides for educational
resources as well as preventive maintenance and ongoing facilities improvement
in all schools.
 Enhance communication with and outreach between home, school, and the
community at large.
