ABOUT US
DOM REP TOURS was founded in Switzerland (under Swiss law) by experienced European
tourism professionals in 2006, and has already turned into a leading foreign incoming agency
in the Dominican Republic. The German-Swiss management together with its professional
mixed Dominican and European team has been focusing successfully on high-quality services
for small to medium sized travel designers and tour operators, specialized in the premium
segment, with an individual touch and for an upmarket clientele. Among the clients of DOM
REP TOURS are many prestigious and renowned TTOOs in Europe and all over the world.
DOM REP TOURS is located in the heart of Colonial Santo Domingo. In our office, 9 employees
(among them 6 Europeans from Germany, France and Switzerland) offer their services to a
worldwide international clientele. Due to an extensive knowledge of the country, resulting
from more than 10 years of personal experience (and a broad expertise in the most important
outgoing tourism markets), DOM REP TOURS has become very strong in the creation of tailormade, high-quality à la carte programs for FITs, small groups and incentives, adapted to the
individual needs of the clients and different segments in each country. Attention to detail is
very important for us, and we have committed ourselves to quality and excellence in service –
which we find crucial for success in a complex destination like the Dominican Republic. All
staff members speak fluent English and Spanish, the majority speaking German and some
French. All are familiar with the requirements and expectations of their sophisticated
international clientele. We work countrywide with 10 – 15 carefully selected, well-trained
and certified multilingual tour guides, all officially licensed by the Dominican Ministry of
Tourism.
DOM REP TOURS is one of the very few agencies in the Dominican Republic which does not
focus on mass tourism and therefore concentrates on a more personal service and special
attention to the guests. We consider ourselves the leading specialists for a cultivated,
individual and demanding upmarket clientele. One of the big advantages of working through
DOM REP TOURS is the direct communication with our onsite staff in Santo Domingo, who
very well know the needs of their Western clients and can also give a realistic and neutral

itineraries will be in English. Our opening hours are from Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm
and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm. We also have a 24 hour emergency hotline.
DOM REP TOURS also offers its rep services in the main Dominican beach destinations of
Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Samaná Peninsula. We have been represented in the UK since
2009, and soon we will be represented in the Americas (USA/Canada/Mexico/Latin America).
THE COUNTRY
Tourism in the Dominican Republic is in transition. In addition to beautiful beaches, visitors to
the island are increasingly keen to discover its other attractions. This fact has been
recognized by the Dominican Republic Tourist Board, which is making huge endeavours
towards sustainable tourism and the development and promotion of new projects in the
island’s interior. This has also already been realized by DOM REP TOURS, the Swiss and
German tourism specialists. The country still embodies the ideal of a Caribbean beach holiday
with dream beaches, waving palms and Merengue music. However, with its colonial towns and
Taíno history, the country also offers its guests an equal cultural experience. In addition, it
offers over 30 national parks, and the highest mountain in the Caribbean.
