GRADUATION INSTRUCTIONS
CLASS OF 2015
SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2015
Attire:



Cap and gown, Salem tassel with ’15 charm, SHS hood
Young Ladies: knee length skirt/dress (skirt/dress hem should not be longer than your gown), flat shoes, light -colored blouse.
Young Men: black slacks, black socks, dark shoes, white-dress shirt, appropriate tie.
*All seniors should plan to arrive to the Horse Park, properly dressed. FLAT comfortable shoes are strongly recommended*
ARRIVAL TIME: 5:15AM-6:45AM (1996 Centennial Olympic Parkway, Conyers, GA 30013).
STUDENT PARKING & INSTRUCTIONS: (ALL personal belongings should be left inside your vehicle).

Park in the RED parking lot.
Leave all personal items in your vehicle.
Find Dr. Williams or Mr. Higgins.
Then, get on the yellow school bus found in the RED parking lot.
The bus will drop you off at the carriage room.
Once you arrive, please check in.
You will be directed to your seat. Please find your seat.
The LAST bus pick-up from the RED lot will be at 7:05am.
PARENT PARKING & INSTRUCTIONS
1. Salem Booster Club will be on duty. Please follow directions for parking upon your arrival.
2. Handicap parking may be found at the very TOP ROWS of the parking lots.
3. Gates for parents, guardians and families will open at 6:00AM (You do NOT need a ticket to enter the gates)
4. Take a seat anywhere along the bleachers provided.
5. Handicap seating may be found along the plaza area right behind the bleachers.
6. Student volunteers (dressed in all black) will be available to distribute programs and assist with restroom or water needs.
INCLEMENT WEATHER DISCLOSER
In the case of inclement weather, the graduation ceremony will be held in the Salem High School Gymnasium. In this case, each candidate
has been issued four (4) graduation tickets only. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience, as we want to ensure each graduate’s
immediate family members (parents/guardians), are accommodated first.
Please leave the following items inside your vehicle.
You will NOT be able to enter the Horse Park with these items:








Food
Beverages (Water and beverages are available for purchase inside the Horse Park)
Coolers
Picnic Chairs
Large Umbrellas (please lower all small umbrellas to respect the view of families behind you)
Balloons
Air Horns
Pets (excluding service dogs)
Please be mindful of your behavior inside and outside the Horse Park gates.
