Scheduled Works at Webb Dock
Monday 30 March to Sunday 5 April
Removal of contaminated material containing some asbestos near the Westgate Bridge continues. Impact
(driven) piling for the noise wall along Todd Road (north of Williamstown Road) will be ongoing for
approximately four weeks. Works to construct a pumping station behind the noise wall south of
Williamstown Road is planned from Monday to Thursday, some vibration may be felt. A number of
pedestrian and cycle detours are in place along Todd and Williamstown roads, please follow signs.
Maritime Works including Impact Piling
Piling has shifted to the southern end of Webb Dock East. Piling takes place Monday to Friday between 7am
to 6pm and Saturdays between 7am to 1pm. The maritime piling work will not occur outside of normal
working hours. Scheduled concrete pours starting at 4am and out of hours works will continue each
Saturday from 1pm to 5pm and as a contingency, on Sunday from 7am to 5pm if required. These works will
be within approved noise guidelines & will not include pile driving.
Container Terminal Operator Works
The container terminal operator will be using a range of earthmoving equipment, including vibrating rollers,
in the ‘off dock’ area near Perce White Reserve. Vibration and noise impacts may be experienced. Early
works continue from 4am weekdays; works are in compliance with EPA noise guidelines. Impact rolling will
take place on Monday and Tuesday in the empty container park site, north of Williamstown Rd. Any
concerns regarding vibration impacts should be directed to the terminal operator, VICT, by calling 8672
3284. From Monday, VICT trucks will enter the Empty Container Park from a new temporary gate on
Williamstown Road opposite Dockside Road. Truck entry and exit will be managed by traffic controllers.
Maritime Cove & Perce White Reserve
Perce White Reserve, including the Boardwalk is CLOSED until the end of April/early May. Beach access is
closed until mid-April to enable installation of the fore dune timber fence. Webb Trail and Webb Point will
remain closed until at least late April.

During the Easter holiday, the project’s contractors and terminal operators will not be working, however the
site will continue to be monitored and maintained. Port of Melbourne Corporation and its contractors and
