RUN & FITNESS WALK
The 2015 Summer Longest Causeway Run & Fitness
Walk, scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2015, is expected to attract
thousands of competitors wanting to take advantage of the unique opportunity to cross the historic 2.6
mile Queen Isabella Causeway on foot.
The 2015 summer event is patterned after our 31 year old January run & walk but with a new
course. The 6.2 mile (10K) course starts at the Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island and
ends at the new Port Isabel Event & Cultural Center (PIECC). Awards ceremonies will be held immediately following the race at the PIECC. Walkers along the 3K course will end at the PIECC also.
Trophies as well as cash prizes are awarded to the overall male and female winners. First through
third place trophies will also be presented in each of the 23 male and female age divisions.
