PASTOR’S NOTE The Easter Season During the next several weeks culminating with the celebration of Pentecost on Sunday, May 24th, we continue to celebrate the season of Easter. Like the apostles and disciples in the days, weeks and months following the Resurrection of the Lord, we need to draw greater and greater strength from the presence of the Risen Christ in our lives. Like them, we need to continually look to Him who gives us life, courage and hope. Our Easter prayer each day should draw us closer to the Lord who is present to us with all His love. The words of Psalm 34 give us direction and encouragement: Glorify the Lord with me, Together let us extol his name. I sought the Lord and he answered me And delivered me from all my fears. Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, And your faces may not blush with shame. When the poor one called out, the Lord heard, And from all his distress he saved him.
