Local mobile motorcycle service and repair business Z&R Motorcycles Limited has announced that it is to open its first garage as a result of positive business growth and funding support from The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). The new premises, located at 141 Derby Road in Kirkdale, Bootle, will provide the company with its first ever commercial base from which to operate the growing business from. Z&R Motorcycles offer a range of services for motorcycles, mopeds, scooters and quads of all makes and models. The business, which was established in 2002, will also continue to run its popular mobile repair service alongside the new garage. The expansion of the business has resulted from an increase in trade and demand for services. The company also plans to employ a new member of staff. RBS has supported the purchase of the premises with a £36,000 fee free loan under the Government backed Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS). Sami Belhaouane, Managing Director of Z & R Motorcycles said: “Until we bought the shop, I had run my business from home, offering a mobile service for customers at their homes or places of work. But as the business has grown and the demand from customers has increased it became clear that we needed to move to the next level and open a garage to run the business from. “The funding we have received from RBS has also been excellent, without it we wouldn’t have been able to make this move to expand the business and purchase the premises.” Keith Tennant, Development Manager at The Royal Bank of Scotland added: “We’d like to wish Sami every success with the opening of the garage.
