Function
Domite® Cane Knife Edges designed specifically for the sugar industry,
as a weld on wear resistant edge, are the most cost effective alternative
to expensive, labour intensive hard facing methods.
Advantages
> Available in many different styles and sizes
> Offers sharp edges at the start of use and retain their edge sharpness
and cutting efficiency longer than hard facing. There is no need to
rebuild edges by welding.
> Domite® cane knife edges are easy to install and maintain.
Refer to our recommended welding procedures.
> Domite® edges can be rotated so that both ends of the edges are utilized, keeping maintenance costs down.
> Domite® offers increased production and shredding efficiency. In the case of Sugar Cane preparation,
it has proven to increase PI (Preparation Index) at the time of initial installation and use, by 2-3 points
and thus, having Domite® edges installed means PI levels stay higher, longer.
