Weekly Bulletin - Regis Middle School
Royal Herald June 5, 2015 “Prisoners to Christ” On Wednesday, we celebrated our final Liturgy of the school year with Fr. Chris Podhajsky as our celebrant. At the start of the homily, Fr. Chris shared with our students his prayer for them for the summer: To be prisoners to Christ. Our student’s reaction was just as he suspected, and it allowed for a great conversation about what Christ’s love looks like, especially in the summer months. Those who are prisoners to Christ will make good decisions, try their best to not complain when Mom or Dad ask them to mow the lawn, and spend time in prayer and companionship with Jesus. His words were very powerful and our students seemed to receive the message well. Mrs. Globokar then followed up with a challenge to all of our students to take their faith to a higher level this summer. She challenged our students to not only attend Mass every Sunday this summer, but to find at least one time this summer when they can attend a daily Mass in their home parish.
