Official race merchandise is available at the Merchandise Store and a variety of exhibitors will display, sample and sell running apparel, footwear, and health & fitness products. BIB NUMBER PICKUP Follow these steps to pick up your number at the Expo: 1. Print out & sign your Confirmation Sheet at home 2. Bring your Confirmation Sheet & Photo I.D. to Expo YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR OWN BIB NUMBER AT THE EXPO PRIOR TO THE RACE. NO EXCEPTIONS. CORRAL CHANGES If you need to move to a faster corral, simply pick up your bib number and proceed to the ‘Corral Change’ table in the Check-In area. If you wish to move back to a slower corral, you may do so without visiting the Corral Change table by simply starting in that corral on race morning. There are no corral changes on race morning. PACE TEAM—Seattle Green Lake Running Group We have partnered with Seattle Green Lake Running Group to provide official pace leaders. Pace Teams are FREE and open to all participants. Please follow the driving directions below. From the North and South: I-5 and the Alaskan Way Viaduct both have exits near CenturyLink Field Event Center. From I-5, there are exits at James Street, 4th Avenue and Airport Way that will all place visitors in close proximity to the facility. FINAL INFORMATION HALF MARATHON From the East: CenturyLink Field Event Center can be reached by both I-90 and SR 520 from the East. From I-90, follow the signs to Fourth Avenue South and turn right. Then turn right onto South Royal Brougham Way. From SR 520, take I-5 South and then take the James Street, 4th Avenue or Airport Way exits to place you in close proximity to the facility. Expo Parking: Parking at CenturyLink Field Event Center is $15 - $20 and will apply for the Expo on Thursday and Friday. This fee is issued by CenturyLink Field Event Center. We encourage you to carpool or use public transportation to get to the Expo. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Metro Bus Service: Metro has you covered with over 15 daily bus routes that stop within three blocks of CenturyLink Field Event Center. Visit Metro’s online Trip Planner to find the best routes. ST Express Bus Service: Sound Transit bus service offers transportation from areas throughout Pierce, King and Snohomish counties with service every 30 minutes or less and stops within three blocks of CenturyLink Field Event Center. Link Light Rail: Central Link has services from Tukwila, SeaTac and SeaTac Airport to Downtown Seattle. With two stations near CenturyLink Field Event Center, this service is a quick and comfortable way to travel. Sounder Rail Service: From Tacoma and Everett with stops in between, the Sounder trains offer service to King Street Station, just a short walk away from the CenturyLink Field Event Center. Amtrak Cascades Train Service: Amtrak Cascades has a major station right next to CenturyLink Field Event Center for all participants coming from Portland or Southwest Washington, as well as from Bellingham and the north. Visit the Amtrak Cascades website for all information on fares and schedules. Washington State Ferries: Regular ferry service from Bremerton and Bainbridge Island arrives at Colman Dock on Pier 52, just a short walk to CenturyLink Field Event Center. Riders to West Seattle from Port Orchard and Vashon Island can transfer to Metro buses for quick transit to the Expo as well. GETTING TO THE START LINE Please refer to the Parking & Transportation PDF The Seattle Center Monorail will be opening 3.5 hours early to accommodate our 7:00 am start time. It will depart approximately every 5 – 10 minutes from the Westlake Center Station at 5th Avenue and Pine Street. Passengers will unload at the Seattle Center Station adjacent to the Space Needle. Monorail tickets MUST be purchased in advance for these special pre-race time slots and picked up in person at the Health & Fitness Expo. Tickets are currently available online and will be on sale at the Monorail booth at the Expo (pending availability) for $2.25 each. Parking is available in the Seattle Center garages in close proximity to the start line, finish line and Finish Line Festival for $20 on a first come, first served basis. Spots are currently available online through 5pm Wednesday, June 10th and will be on sale at the Parking booth at the Expo (pending availability). These garages will open at 4:00 am on race morning, and your pre-purchased pass will include parking until 5:00 pm on race day. You MUST be in the garage by 6:00 am. Parking passes will not be mailed FINAL INFORMATION HALF MARATHON and must be picked up at the Expo on Thursday or Friday. Pre-purchased parking is non-refundable. Participants may be dropped off near the Start Line on John Street by Denny Park. Expect heavy traffic. Please carpool and arrive early. Read the Parking & Transportation document for directions that will avoid road closures. START LINE Seattle Center – John Street & 4th Avenue N Upon arrival, proceed to the Start Line Village for all of your pre-race needs. You will find water, snacks, a medical tent, Gear Check and portable toilets. Information and Solutions tents are located by the Start Line to answer questions. Plan to arrive AT LEAST one hour before the race start time AND plan for heavy traffic! START CORRALS You are assigned a bib number and corral based on your projected finish time – the faster your time, the closer your corral will be to the start line. Participants can enter the corrals at 6:30am. If you believe you have been assigned the wrong corral, bring your race number to the Corral Change table at the Expo. WAVE START We will be utilizing a wave start. This will enable a comfortable starting position for runners and walkers of all paces. When the gun fires, the first corral will be released and the rest of the participants will be held at the start line. Corrals are released every 1-2 minutes. Your official time begins as you cross the start line and stops when you cross the finish line. GEAR CHECK --- 5:30am-3:00pm The bag you pick up at the Expo is your gear check bag. Affix your gear check tag (on your bib number) to your gear bag before you leave it at Gear Check. Bags will be placed (according to participant last name) then waiting for you at the same location after you finish the race. Please reclaim all bags by 3:00pm. DO NOT leave valuables, cash or jewelry in your bag. ON COURSE COURSE ENTERTAINMENT Bands on the Course: Local bands will be stationed along the course to keep your spirits high and your legs moving. Leave your music at home and get ready to rock! Check out our Entertainment page here for the list of the course bands. Spirit on the Course Competition: Local High School cheer squads will energize your run while competing in the Spirit on the Course Competition. The most spirited, energetic and creative teams receive cash prizes. PORTO POTTIES Portable toilets will be located at every support station listed. MEDICAL There will be medical stations on course, approximately every two miles. Look for the red tents if you need assistance. COURSE SUPPORT There will be 8 aid stations along the half marathon course. Please note that both Gatorade and GU will only be select stations. A tail vehicle will follow the last runner at the time limit pace. If at any time a participant drops behind the tail vehicle, the participant will be picked up in the tail vehicle and transported to the back of the pack to stay on-pace. A strict time limit will be enforced as roads need to be re-opened to regular traffic. SIGN UP FOR RUNNER TRACKING Keep your friends and family updated on where you are on course during the race by signing them up for Runner Tracking. Visit www.competitorwireless.com to get started. SPECTATOR INFORMATION Catch your runner and some live local music! Enjoy downtown Seattle while you keep an eye out for your runner as they traverse downtown and make their way toward I-90. FINISH LINE FESTIVAL Once you cross the finish line, you will enter a “Secure Zone” – a fenced off area for participants only. Here you will receive your finisher’s medal, can have your photo taken and pick up post-race refreshments. After you exit the secure zone, proceed to the Finish Line Festival to celebrate your achievement, meet up with friends and family, have a beer and enjoy good music! The festival is free and open to the public. FAMILY REUNION It is highly recommended that you designate a meet up location for friends and family. The Family Reunion area will have tall poles with each letter of the alphabet (A-Z). Pick a letter before the race for an easy location to meet up with your fan club. WHAT’S NEXT?! RESULTS & AWARDS Official race results will be posted by 7 pm (PST) on race day, Saturday, June 13, 2015 on www.runrocknroll.com/seattle Age group awards will be presented 3-deep in all age divisions for both male and female categories. Age group awards will be mailed within six to eight weeks after the event. In accordance with USATF Rules, age group awards will be determined by chip time. PHOTOS & FINISHER CERTIFICATES Your photos and FREE finisher certificate will be available online within 48 hours after the race at www.runrocknroll.com/seattle Your finisher certificate will NOT be mailed.
