Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL
NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. YOU HAVE NOT YET WON.
Winner must claim prize by attending the Grand Prize Event on Saturday, August
29, 2015 in Sonoma, CA. Inability to attend the Grand Prize Event and at the
Sponsors sole discretion may result in a forfeiture of prize and an alternate Grand
Prize Winner will be selected. Sponsor agrees to pay reasonable coach class
airfare and hotel accommodations to Grand Prize Winner and a guest departing
from same point of origin in one of the jurisdictions set forth in Section 1 below.
The Grand Prize Winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes,
and the reporting consequences thereof.
1. Eligibility: The AutoNation “Thanks A 10 Million Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”)
is open only to legal citizens of the United States who are residents of the following
jurisdictions: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MD, MN, MS, NV, OH, TN, TX, VA, WA,
WI and the District of Columbia at the time of entry and who are at least eighteen (18)
years old and have a valid driver’s license at the time of entry. A “resident” is defined as
an individual who spends at least 180 days per year in the aforementioned jurisdictions
and such jurisdiction is deemed their primary residence. Employees of AutoNation Inc.,
Cohen-Friedberg Associates LLC, Zimmerman Advertising, Odds On Promotions
(“OOP”), and any of their parent and affiliate companies as well as their immediate
family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such
employee are not eligible to enter or win. Any individuals (including but not limited to
employees, consultants, independent contractors and interns) who have, within six
months prior to the start date of this Sweepstakes, held employment with AutoNation
Inc., Cohen-Friedberg Associates LLC, Zimmerman Advertising or Odds On Promotions
(“OOP”), are not eligible to enter or win. Sponsor reserves the right to require a potential
prize winner to submit to a confidential background check to confirm eligibility and help
ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Contest will not
bring the Contest or the Sponsor into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or
reflect unfavorably on the Sweepstakes as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
This Sweepstakes is created under the laws of the state of Florida and subject to the
laws thereof as all applicable federal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited
by law or regulation.
2. Sponsor: AutoNation, Inc., 200 SW 1st Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, FL (“Sponsor”).
Sweepstakes Administrator: COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES, LLC, Framingham,
MA 01702 (Administrator”).
3. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in this Sweepstakes constitutes entrant’s
full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and
Administrator’s decisions, which are final and legally binding in all matters related to this
Sweepstakes. Sponsor shall have sole and absolute discretion in determining any

ambiguity or interpretation/application of any rule or provision contained herein and each
entrant hereby consents to such authority. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all
requirements set forth herein.
4. Timing:
a. Sweepstakes Period: This Sweepstakes begins on Wednesday, June 3,
2015, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and ends on Monday, July
6, 2015 at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Zimmerman
Advertising’s computer server is the official time-keeping device for this
Sweepstakes.
b. Winner Selection and Notification: One (1) potential prize winner will be
randomly selected by the Administrator on or about Tuesday, July 7, 2015.
Potential prize winner will be notified by email, mail or by phone using the
contact information provided at the time of entry. Sponsor shall have no
liability for any potential prize winning notification that is lost, intercepted or
not received by any potential prize winner for any reason. If, despite
reasonable efforts, any potential prize winner does not respond within two (2)
days of the first notification attempt, or if the prize notification is returned as
unclaimed or undeliverable, such potential prize winner will forfeit his or her
prize and an alternate potential prize winner may be selected from all valid
entries. If any potential prize winner cannot be contacted within the requisite
time or is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these
Official Rules or declines a prize for any reason prior to award, such potential
prize winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential prize winner may
be selected from all valid entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of
eligible entries received.
5. Prizes:
One (1) Grand Prize: Trip for two (2) to participate in the Grand Prize Ceremony
for a chance to win $10,000,000 or a new automobile. Prize package includes the
following:
 Roundtrip (coach class) air transportation to California.
 Three (3) nights (double occupancy) hotel accommodations.
 Winner to receive $300 spending money.
 Winner to receive $200 towards ground transportation in California.

Grand Prize winner will have one opportunity to select one (1) of one hundred
(100) sealed envelopes. The selected envelope will contain one of the following
prizes: Either a $10,000,000 dollar cash prize or a new vehicle valued at an
MSRP of no less than $25,000. Contents of envelopes are as follows:
One (1) envelope to contain the $10,000,000 prize. Odds 1:100
$10,000,000 prize to be paid over a 30 year period at approximately $333,333.33
per year (All taxes including withholding is the responsibility of the winner) paid in
annual installments. First installment to be paid on or about December 1, 2015

and each December 1 thereafter for twenty nine (29) years. Sponsor, at its sole
discretion, reserves the right to determine the date, time and location of the
Grand Prize Event (“Grand Prize Event”) for a chance to win $10,000,000. Lump
Sum Payment Alternative: Winner may opt to receive one immediate lump sum
payment of $6,120,370 in lieu of the 30 year annuity prize. Lump sum payment
to be made on or about December 1, 2015. Withholding may apply.

Ninety-nine (99) envelopes will contain a prize of a new automobile with a
minimum MSRP of $25,000. Odds of winning 99:100. Sponsor to determine
automobile manufacturer and included accessories from an AutoNation
dealership determined by AutoNation and at its sole discretion. If the winner’s
home address is within 100 miles of an AutoNation dealership, the winner will be
required to pick up their automobile at the designated dealership. Should the
winner live more than 100 miles from the nearest AutoNation dealership, the
automobile will be delivered to the winner’s home address. Winner is responsible
for paying the local sales tax and presenting a valid driver’s license and
automobile insurance prior to automobile delivery.
Cash Alternative: Winner may opt to receive $25,000 in cash (regardless of
MSRP of vehicle awarded) in lieu of the automobile prize.
Odds of winning the Sweepstakes prize are based on the number of entries
received during the Sweepstakes Period.
To claim prize, winner must visit the designated AutoNation award ceremony
listed below at time (TBD by the Sponsor and at its sole discretion) and date
indicated and participate in the Grand Prize Event award ceremony and photo
session. Winner must also execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release,
and (where imposing such condition is legal) a Publicity Release in a form to be
provided by Sponsor. Failure to participate in said ceremony or execute the
required documents will result in disqualification and prize forfeiture. NO
EXCEPTIONS!
GRAND PRIZE EVENT DATE: Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Sonoma,
California. Time and location of Grand Prize Event to be determined by the
Sponsor and at its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule
Grand Prize Event Date and Location without prior notice to Grand Prize Winner.
Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize (i.e., cash award plus travel
expenses) not to exceed $10,007,500.
Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize. Prizes are non-transferable,
non-refundable, and no substitutions will be made except as provided herein, in
the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winner is responsible for any and all applicable
state and federal taxes and fees.
Prize Conditions:



Prize is provided on an “as is” basis, without any warranty of any kind. Prize is
non-transferable. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize (or portion
thereof) of equal or greater value if the advertised prize (or portion thereof)
becomes unavailable.
Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and on the same dates.
Air transportation shall be by coach class roundtrip from a major gateway
nearest the winner’s home address with a destination of San Francisco or
Oakland, CA depending on the winner’s departure city, and all such travel

arrangements will be made by a Sponsor designated representative whose
decisions regarding the itinerary are final and binding. Selection of airline and
airport shall be at the discretion of Sponsor or any other provider of any portion of
the Prize. Trip winner and travel companion must have valid travel documents
(e.g., government issued I.D., passport, etc.) along with any other travel
requirements in order to travel to California prior to departure, and failure to do so
may result in forfeiture of Prize. Winner and his/her travel companion are solely
responsible for satisfying all legally required conditions of travel. Winner must
have a valid major credit card to check in to a hotel. Winner is responsible for all
incidental expenses while staying at hotel. Sponsor is not liable for any
expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation or delay or any
weather or airline issues that prevent the prize winner and travel companion, if
applicable, from traveling. If the winner is a resident of California living within 200
miles of Sonoma, CA, ground transportation will be substituted for air
transportation.

Prize winner is responsible for any and all applicable fees, service charges,
surcharges or passenger facility charges, all insurance, federal, state, and local
taxes, if any, gratuities, meals, incidental charges and any other unspecified
expenses associated with acceptance or use of the Prize.
All estimated retail values are subject to change based on, among other things,
normal price fluctuations associated with the travel in the marketplace and date
of departure. If the Prize or the Prize notification is returned as undeliverable or
any non-compliance with the Official Rules or failure to respond within the
applicable time period, it will result in forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate prize
winner will be randomly selected from all remaining eligible entries received.

Prize will be awarded only if the prize winner fully complies with these Official
Rules. Sponsor or Sponsor's representative reserves the right to remove or to
deny portions of the prize package to winner and/or guest who engages in a nonsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or
harass any other person with no further compensation.
6. How to Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, you can enter this Sweepstakes
through the Sponsor’s Sweepstakes site located at http://10-million.autonation.com
(the “Sponsor’s Site”). To enter the Sweepstakes (a) visit the Sponsor’s
Sweepstakes page at http://10-million.autonation.com, (b) complete the entry form
fully and accurately with all required information (your “Entry”), (c) agree to the
Official Rules, and (d) submit the Entry.
ONE TIME BONUS ENTRY: You may earn one (1) bonus entry after entering the
sweepstakes, in return for answering all the questions found via a link on the
sweepstakes entry confirmation page. You may earn this one-time bonus entry any
time during the Sweepstakes Period.
You may also enter this Sweepstakes by clicking on a link within a
Sweepstakes tweet sent out from @AutoNation. Once you click on the link
within the Sweepstakes tweet you will be directed to the registration page.

Alternate Means of Entry: To enter by mail, hand print in ink your name, complete
address, telephone number, age and email address on a postcard and mail to: The
AutoNation “Thanks A 10 Million Sweepstakes”, PO Box 2312, Framingham, MA 017032312. No photocopies, facsimiles or mechanical reproductions will be accepted. Sponsor
is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, misdirected, illegal, inaccurate, stolen, or
postage due mail. All entries via the Alternative Method of Entry must be postmarked
during the Sweepstakes Period and must be received no later than the Drawing Date,
July 7, 2015.
LIMIT ON ENTERING SWEEPSTAKES: No matter which form of entry is selected,
one (1) entry per person (excluding the one time bonus entry) per calendar day.
One calendar day is defined as Eastern Daylight Time; 12:00 a.m. EDT to 11:59:59 p.m.
EDT (Calendar Day”). By entering this Sweepstakes, you give Sponsor, Administrator
and OOP your permission to hold and use your personal details including, but not limited
to, your name, postal address, E-mail address, and telephone number for the purposes
of operating this Sweepstakes, as applicable. Released Parties (as defined in Section 8,
below) are not responsible for incomplete, invalid, delayed or misdirected entries; all of
which will be void. By entering this Sweepstakes, you are agreeing to receive
AutoNation marketing emails. However, you may opt out of receiving such emails by
clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the footer of the emails that you receive.
7. Winner Requirements: Acceptance of any prize shall constitute and signify the prize
winner’s agreement and consent that Sponsor and its designees may use the prize
winner’s name, city, state, and/or contact information, photo/images in connection with
this Sweepstakes for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and
all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and
without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where
prohibited by law. Sponsor shall not incur any liability whatsoever to the extent Sponsor
chooses to refrain from any exploitation of its rights hereunder. The winner will indemnify
Sponsor, Administrator, Released Parties (as defined in Section 8, below) and any
licensee of Sponsor or Administrator against all claims, damages, liabilities, and
expenses (including reasonable counsel fees and legal expenses) arising out of any
breach of these terms or from claims concerning prize ownership/entitlement by parties
related to or associated with winner in any way.
8. Release: By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to release and hold harmless
Sponsor, Administrator, OOP, Zimmerman Advertising, preferred financing partners and
all of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, franchisees,
suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of
their respective parent companies, and each such company’s officers, directors,
employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and
all liability, claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, injuries, death, loss or
damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or receipt or use
or misuse of any prize. By participating in this Sweepstakes, you agree to be bound by
these Official Rules which are final. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency
between disclosures or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes or sales
materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, the terms and conditions
of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control. Grand Prize potential winner will
be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/publicity and liability release and W-9 tax

payer request for identification, and return it properly executed, within two (2) days of
attempted notification as a condition of awarding the prize.
9. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify
this Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor
impairs the integrity or proper functioning of this Sweepstakes, as determined by
Sponsor in its sole discretion. If the Sweepstakes is terminated Sponsor may, in its sole
discretion, direct Administrator to determine the winner from among all non-suspect,
eligible entries received up to time of such action by using the random selection manner
as provided by Section 4(b), above. Administrator, in its sole discretion, reserves the
right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the
operation of this Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this or
any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner and void all
associated entries. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE
ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS
SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND
SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO
SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING LEGAL FEES) FROM ANY
SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor’s
failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that
provision.
10. Limitations of Liability: Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect
or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing, typographical or other
errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this
Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to,
malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or
software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or this
Sweepstakes; (4) printing, typographical, technical, computer, network or human error
which may occur in the administration of this Sweepstakes, the uploading, the
processing or random selection of entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any
Sweepstakes -related materials; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; (6)
any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly,
in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in this Sweepstakes or receipt or use or
misuse of any prize; (7) costs associated with claiming or redeeming the prizes; nor (8)
loss or damages resulting from an entrant’s connection to the internet via any of the
websites contained herein. Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect,
mistranscribed, misdirected or undeliverable entries, E-mail transmissions, incorrect
announcements of any kind, or for any technical problems of any kind, malfunctions of
computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network
connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any
combination thereof. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete,
inaccurate or damaged entries, or undeliverable E-mails resulting from any form of
active or passive E-mail filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or E-mail client
or for insufficient space in user's E-mail account to receive E-mail. Sponsor does not
accept responsibility for any damage (whether material or non-material) caused to
entrants, to their computer equipment or to data which is stored on them, or to their
personal, professional or commercial activities. Proof of submitting entries will not be
deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor or Administrator. Released Parties are not
responsible for any unauthorized third party use of any entries.

11. Disputes: Except where prohibited by law, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all
disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes
or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class
action, and exclusively before a Court of competent jurisdiction in Broward County in the
State of Florida (2) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual
out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes,
but excluding legal fees if any; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted
to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive,
incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual
out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise
increased. All parties hereby irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction and venue of the
courts located in and for Broward County, Florida. All issues and questions concerning
the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the
rights and obligations of the entrant, Administrator, and Sponsor in connection with this
Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the
state of Florida.
12. Entrant's Personal Information: Information collected from entrant is subject to the
Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, located at:
http://www.autonation.com/miami/about/#/privacypolicy. When entering the
Sweepstakes, you understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor.
13. Winner List: For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope
to AutoNation “Thanks A 10 Million Sweepstakes, PO Box 2312, Framingham, MA
01703-2312 USA. All requests must be received by 7/31/15.
