TO: WAG Clubs and Coaches FROM: Andrew Cordery High Performance Manager SUBJECT: WAG State Development Clinic – 31 May 2015 DATE: Monday, 27 April 2015 Dear Clubs & Coaches, The WAG SMC and the High Performance Program (Gym-JETS) invite you to attend the next WAG State Development Clinic on Sunday 31 May 2015. The objectives of these clinics are to: 1) Provide technical development opportunities for WAG coaches (coaches will receive updating points for attending the clinic) 2) Develop a cohesive community of WAG coaches and gymnasts 3) Identify and develop athletes towards State Team Representation in the future With these objectives in mind, and due to the new competition rules in 2015, clubs are invited to enrol athletes of their choice to this clinic. Athletes should meet the following age recommendations for the level they intend to compete in 2015: National Level 4 - U10 (born in 2005 or later) National Level 5 - U11 (born in 2004 or later) National Level 6 - U12 (born in 2003 or later) Following the great response to the clinic in November 2014, this clinic will offer 2 sessions. Which levels will be in each session will be decided following enrolments. Please find the following documents attached for your information: 1. Memo & Draft program – to be confirmed following enrolments 2. Enrolment Form to be completed by the club and returned to Gym SA with payment by Friday 22 May. 3. Clinic Flyer – you may choose to provide this to invited athletes from your club A Coach must accompany any gymnasts attending the clinic. Each club is entitled to send a coach for each level of athlete that attends. Coaches without gymnasts are also welcome to attend; however, in this case coaches will be required to pay a fee for attendance. If you would like to discuss the program, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 8294 8343 or at [email protected]. I hope that participation in the 2015 WAG State Development Clinics will be a rewarding experience for all coaches and gymnasts.
