NOTICE OF RACE
1
RULES
1.1
The racing series will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of
Sailing.

ADVERTISING
As boats and equipment will be supplied by OA, each boat will be required to display
advertising as supplied by OA.
3
ELIGIBILITY
3.1
This event is based on invitation to skippers representing individual corporate. A
maximum of 8 teams will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
3.2
Eligible teams may enter by completing the attached form and sending it, together with
the required fee, to:

3.4
The Organising Authority may at its discretion accept late registrations which shall be
subjected to a late entry fee.

Event Format
4.1
The 3 race days are as follows:
(a) Day 1: Race 1 & 2; Friday, 10th April 2015
(b) Day 2: Race 3 & 4; Friday, 17th April 2015
(c) Day 3: Race 5 & 6; Friday, 24th April 2015

4.2
The minimum and maximum number of sailors per boat are 3 and 4 respectively. Each
team shall have at least 2 sailors who are from the same organisation / company.
4.3
The event will be sailed in SB20s.
4.4
8 boats will be provided, the following sails will be provided for each boat: Mainsail, Jib
and Gennaker.
4.5
Boats will be allocated by draw, either on every race day or for each race as decided by
the Organising Authority.

FEES
The following are the fees (7% GST included) which includes entry fee and boat charter
during the races plus a free 2-hour pre-race training session (Available on 8 & 9 April
2015 from 3pm to 7pm).
$374.50 per race day or $963.00 for the whole series
The fees are non-refundable unless the regatta is cancelled.

6.1
SCHEDULE
The first warning signal for each race day will be at 1730hrs. No warning signal shall be
made after 1900hrs. Two (2) races are scheduled on each race day.
7.
7.1
SCORING
A maximum of 6 races are scheduled for the series. A minimum of 3 races to constitute a
regatta. If only 3 races are held, all 3 race scores shall count in the overall result.
7.2
When 4 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her
race scores excluding her worst score.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available after the closing date.

VENUE
Racing area will be at Marina Bay, Singapore. The boats are berthed at a pontoon located
beside Customs House, 70 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049323.

PRIZES
10.1
Trophies will be awarded to the Overall Champion and 1st and 2nd Runner-Up Teams after
the last race on 24 April 2015 at the race venue.
10.2
Prizes will also be awarded to the overall top 3 teams.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk, See rule 4, Decision to
Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal
injury or death sustained in conjunction with, prior to, during, or after the regatta.

INSURANCE
All competitors are required to have appropriate insurance coverage.
