Dear Sir/Madam,
1.
We are pleased to inform you that your son/ward Master……………….…………………., Entrance
Roll No……………. has been selected for admission in class VI in this school for the session 2015 - 2016.
You are required to report to Sainik School Purulia for admission alongwith your ward and other necessary
documents on 15 May 2015 at 0800 hrs. The measurements for the uniform items including school dress,
shoes and headgear etc will be taken on that day itself. All the Text Books and Note Books for Class VI
alongwith home assignment will also be handed over to you on that day. Thereafter, the academic session
for class VI will commence from 16 Jun 15. You are requested to ensure that he completes his home
assignment before reporting to the school on 16 Jun 15. THE CHILD MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY
THE FATHER OR THE MOTHER POSITIVELY AND PREFERABLY BY FATHER.
2.
Your son / ward must be in possession of the articles listed at para (A) of Appendix ‘F’. Rest of the
items will be provided to you on the day of joining the school.
3.
RULES OF SAINIK SCHOOL PURULIA : You will be deemed to have read and accepted the rules of
Sainik School Purulia as laid down in the school prospectus and as amended from time to time.
4.
West Bengal State Government Scholarship: On the basis of your monthly income as stated by
you in the application form for admission of your son/ward and on the basis of domicile/permanent residential
certificate submitted by you, your son/ward will be eligible for the grant of West Bengal State Government
Scholarship for his education in the school for the session 2015-16.
5.
Ministry of Defence Scholarship (For Defence Quota candidates only): On the basis of your
monthly income as stated by you in the application form for admission of your son/ward and on the basis of
proof submitted by you from OC Unit / Record Office, your son/ ward will be eligible for the grant of Ministry
of Defence Scholarship for his education in the school for the session 2015-16.
6.
The availability of scholarship as stated above in para 4/ 5 is subject to production of latest income/
salary certificate in duplicate from the appropriate authorities such as:(a)

A certificate from the Registered Medical Officer to the effect that the boy has not been
exposed to any contagious disease at least three weeks prior to joining the school and showing the
date of his last vaccination and inoculation.
(b)
Proof of age of your son is to be supported by :(i)
Birth Certificate issued from Birth Registration Office of Municipality/ Block / Panchayat
(Mandatory for all categories)
(ii)
Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by District Education Officer/ District Inspector
of School, if your son / ward is studying in a recognized school.
OR
(iii)
The Deputy Director of School Education (Anglo -Indian Schools) of concerned State/
Region in case the boy has been studying in a school affiliated to ICSE.
OR
(iv)
An extract on the Register of Birth from the Birth Registration office in case the boy
has not attended any recognized school.
OR
(v)
In case of Defence Personnel, the date of birth certificate should be from respective
Record Office/ OC unit. If the boy was born after discharge, then birth certificate from Zilla
Sainik Board /recognized school countersigned by District Education Officer/ district Inspector
School/ birth registration office is required.
(c)
Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Residential Certificate in ORIGINAL issued by District
Magistrate/ ADM / SDO of your District as per Appendix ‘A’ attached.
(d)
Application for grant of Scholarship on prescribed form placed at Appendix ‘B’ duly completed
in all respect.
(e)
An income and Domicile Affidavit as per format at Appendix ‘C’ sworn by the father/ guardian
of the boy on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- before the first class Magistrate under his
signature and office seal.
(f)
An agreement bond executed by father/guardian in a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 20/- and
witnessed by a Gazetted Officer as per format at Appendix ‘D’ attached. The date of agreement will
be left blank. It will be completed in the school on the day when the Principal would sign it on behalf
of the Board of Governors, Sainik School Society.
(g)
Caste Certificate (for SC/ST candidates only) from the appropriate authority as mentioned in
the school prospectus.
8.
The fees and other expenses payable by you at the time of admission of your son / ward and
thereafter are given at Appendix ‘E’ attached.
9.
Ex-Service personnel should bring with them their original discharge book for verification.
10.
Students are advised not to bring with them any valuable articles such as Gold Chains / Rings,
Watches, Camera, Transistor, Video Games, Mobile Phones etc.
11.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO ADMISSION WILL BE MADE IN CASE THE PARENT / GUARDIANS
COME WITH IMPROPER / INCOMPLETE CERTIFICATES & DOCUMENTS. LEGAL ACTION MAY BE

with the Governors that the student will attend the Sainik School regularly and will observe and
comply with all the rules and regulations thereof for the prescribed for entry to the Regular Armed
Forces and that he, the guarantor, shall pay to the Governors regularly and promptly and whenever
called upon to do all the fees as prescribed from time to time if he is not in receipt of any
scholarship.
That if the student fails to pursue his studies at the said school before appearing for selection
for entry to any institution as may from time to time be prescribed by the Governors for entry to the
regular Armed Forces or fails to appear for the said selection or fails to succeed in the said

trained for entry into the regular Armed Forces or having joined the said institution fails to complete
the training thereat for entry into the regular Armed Forces or fails to join the regular Armed Forces
after completing the training at the said institution then in any such case, the guarantor shall for with
pay to the Governors in cash the sum the student has received from the school and to the State
Government/Central Government such percentage of the value of the scholarship the student has
received for the period he was the said school, as may be decided by the appropriate authority of
the school/State Government/Central Government.
That if after admission any of the following viz proof of domicile, certificate of age and
statement of income supplied by the guarantor shall forthwith pay to the Governors in cash the sum
the student has received from the school under the State Government/Central Government (the
value of the Scholarship he has received) for period the student was at the said school.

That if after admission, the student is found to be medically unfit in any way at the time,
which might according to the opinion of the appropriate medical authorities, render him unfit for his
future entry to the regular Armed Forces, the student will be withdrawn at once, but it would be open
to the guarantor to retain him at the school on payment of the full fees prescribed by the Governors
from the date the student is found medically unfit.
That the Governors will not be liable for any damage/charges on account of injuries which
may be sustained by the student at any time during his stay in the school while taking part in sports
or other extra-curricular activities of the school. The Governors will accept no liability regarding the
result of operation and or administration of anesthesia, which may have to be carried out or
administered under medical advice. All expenses that may be incurred on the treatment of such
injuries will be borne by the parent/guardian as provided in the rules of the said school.
That after admission in the Sainik School Purulia, I will never seek transfer of my ward to
other Sainik School on any ground/reason.
In the event of any question, dispute or difference arising under this agreement (except as to
any matters, the decision of which is specially provided for by this agreement), the same shall be
referred to the sole arbitration any officer appointed by the Secretary, Ministry of Law, Government
of India, New Delhi , it will be not objection that the arbitrator is a Government servant and that he
had to deal with matters to which the contract relates. The award of the arbitrator shall be final and
binding on the parties to the contract. In the event of the arbitrator retiring or being unable to act for
any reason, it shall be lawful for the Secretary to nominate another arbitrator.
Subject as aforesaid the Arbitration Act, 1940 and the rules framed there under and any
statutory modifications thereto shall apply to the arbitration proceedings under this clause.

shall unless excluded by the context or the meaning thereof be deemed to include his heirs,
executors, administrators and legal representation of the one part and the Board of Governors,
Sainik Schools Society (hereinafter called the ‘Governors’ which expression shall unless excluded
by the context of the meaning thereof be deemed to include the Principal of the Sainik School
Purulia of the other part.

(hereinafter called student) is son/ward of the guarantor and has at the request of the guarantor has
been selected for admission to the Sainik School Purulia inter alias, on terms and condition with a
view to making the regular Armed Forces, his profession in life, if considered by the appropriate
authority to be suitable and if there is any vacancy and if he be selected.
Now it is hereby agreed by and between the party’s here-to as follows: That in consideration of the student being admitted by the Governors to the Sainik School for
the purpose of the aforesaid education at the request of the guarantor, he, the guarantor covenants
with the Governors that the student will attend the Sainik School regularly and will observe and
comply with all the rules and regulations thereof for the prescribed for entry to the Regular Armed
Forces and that he, the guarantor, shall pay to the Governors regularly and promptly and whenever
called upon to do SO, all the fees as prescribed, for education in Sainik School.
That if the student fails to pursue his studies at the said school before appearing for selection
for entry to any institution as may from time to time be prescribed by the Governors for entry to the
regular Armed Forces or fails to appear for the said selection or fails to succeed in the said
selection for having been declared successful at the said selection does not proceed for being
trained for entry into the regular Armed Forces or having joined the said institution fails to complete
the training thereat for entry into the regular Armed Forces or fails to join the regular Armed Forces
after completing the training at the said institution then in any such case, the guarantor shall for with
pay to the Governors in cash the sum the student has received from the school and to the State
