 Job Profile: Finance Administrator Context: CAP Canada is a charity providing help to those who are suffering under the burden of severe debt. Working in partnership with local churches we offer face-­‐to-­‐face debt counselling and also money management education. Purpose: The Finance Administrator is responsible for the day-­‐to-­‐day processing of all aspects of the charity’s finances, including the processing of client monies, in accordance with current legislation. Role: Accountabilities: Finance • Maintain accurate financial information for the organization. This includes ensuring accounting systems are up to date and reconciled with bank statements and internal CAP systems (i.e. Faith and Hope) in a timely manner. • Responsible for tax and legal-­‐related matters, including preparation of annual HST return, donation receipts, liaison with CRA, and overseeing insurance matters. • Undertake project scoping and costing to assist managerial decisions. • Processing of FAITH income batches. • Ensure that all supplier, expense and client payments are made in a timely and accurate manner. • Preparation of daily/weekly cash flow forecast. • Responsible for processing of payroll, employee benefits, and all related statutory payments/returns. • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts • Facilitate audit process and liaison with charity’s auditors. • Manage all credit card donations and processes Client Payments Team • Processing all Client deposits/payments • Ensuring that the Client Account is reconciled with few unallocated items. • Provide cover for CLU Christians Against Poverty Canada Measurable Outputs: •

Monthly bank reconciliations done by 5th working days after month end Monthly Management Report prepared by the 7th working day of the month following. Donations processed by due dates. Income batches processed within 2 working days of receipt of money. All bank statements reconciled every month (client account weekly) Payment of Salaries, Expenses & Suppliers on due dates, including Client payouts Monthly taxable receipts reconciliation Weekly cash flow forecast Other responsibilities include •

Being willing to pray with staff and clients To encourage friends, family and other contacts to support the charity through the Life Changer program, and other fundraising initiatives. Minimum High School Diploma Business/Accounting Degree (preferred but not essential) Experience: •

Essential o Experience of having to work using your own initiative o Experience of working as part of a team and on your own o Experience of accountancy software packages (preferably Quickbooks) Desirable o At least 3 years experience of working in an accountancy/financial environment o Experience of charity accounting.
