Sisters from Mount Assisi are joined by their fellow Sisters from Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Texas, as well as alumnae from the former Mount Assisi Academy to make the day possible. All proceeds help support the Sisters’ ministries for all ages, from the very young at Mount Assisi Academy Preschool, to the elderly at Marian Hall Home. The youngest served is 3 years old, and the eldest is 100 years young! Mount Assisi Convent is located just minutes from the Bellevue/West View Exit of I-279 North in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Sisters are seeking teen and adult volunteers to help man festival booths and work in the dining room on Sunday, April 26. As our Sisters and church-based volunteers age, we need more help from the community to help make our annual event a success. We welcome alumnae, family, friends, community members and responsible teen volunteers for a wide variety of roles. Service hours letters can be provided for student volunteers to fulfill school and church requirements. Volunteer shifts run from 12 to 2:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m. on festival day. If you can help, contact Nicole Knupsky at [email protected] or 412-761-6004.
