Golf Tournament
Scotty had just turned 21 when he attended a local party in the small town of Wareham. Gang members from
another city crashed the party. The gang members were bored with this local party and decided to rob one of the kids of his gold chain with a gun. Scotty,
always the peace keeper, decided to stand up and to defuse the situation. Scotty said no more than "Hey" when he was fatally shot at point blank range in
the head. Saying Scotty was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him is an understatement. This tragic event has traumatized the other young
adults who attended this small town party where everyone knew each other. This tragedy has left a permanent scare on the lives of Scotty's family and
friends. We are committed to uphold Scotty's character by starting THE SCOTTY MONTEIRO JR. FOUNDATION to STOP THE VIOLENCE, dedicated to raising
money for Stop the violence education and awareness and supporting our youth so they can live a peaceful life.
