Release Notes for 4.2
Release Notes - Océ ProCut 4.2 - Features Highlights – New features 1. 2. 3. 4. Enhanced nesting Stability improvements Improved MAC client Updated Media profiles 1. Enhanced nesting • • • Improved nesting algorithm that gives a better optimized result at a faster speed in comparison to previous ProCut versions. “Pre-nesting “ / “background auto nesting” is default disabled (even that media nesting setting should be enabled). Utilizing full nesting area in width or height with margin set to zero. This allows the operator to nest edge-to-edge in either width or height of a the material. The first job will be placed according to margin settings only and not according to margin+distance as for previous ProCut versions. Nesting definition settings: • April, 2015 Optimized placements of register marks and barcodes to save space. When Auto barcode placement is selected, then the barcodes will be placed inside the center marks on the longest axis only. R4 - Public When selecting Top, Bottom, Left and Right, then barcodes are placed like this: • Short-cut to Edit Media settings from Nesting Queue Right hand click on Media. April, 2015 R4 - Public • Enhanced nesting of open curves ProCut creates a closed path surrounding all objects within a job. This path is offset 0,5mm outside and used as basis for true-shape nesting. Certain designs still require operator editing and manual joining / deleting of curve segments to work or they nest based on the bounding box. Example of CAD designs with open lines that nest well: 2. Stability improvements • Improved communication between ProCut Server and Clients to avoid crashing the Server. 3. Improved MAC client • • April, 2015 Support for Mac OS X Yosemite (version 10.10). MAC client now displays thumbnails in Job Queue and Nesting Queue with multiple file selections. R4 - Public • • Pin/unpin multiple jobs at the same time possible. Area calculation in nesting now same as Windows Client. 4. Updated Media profiles April, 2015 • New standard sheet sizes, defined to match Océ Arizona flatbed vacuum zones, are now default with each media profile. This is convenient to automatically cut remnants (left-over media) in a board size that is optimal for the Arizona workflow. • All media profiles have the following default settings: R4 - Public April, 2015 R4 - Public
