She plans to volunteer at the Oakland Catholic Worker House in Oakland, Calif. for at least a year before considering graduate studies. graduating with a degree in chemistry and a minor in biology, and he is also graduating as a member of Creighton’s Honors Program. He plans to continue his education and pursue a doctorate in medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the fall of 2015. Erin Cheese is from Omaha. She will graduate with Augusta Herman is from Portland, Ore. She will degrees in energy science and applied physical analysis. Erin is a finalist for the Junior Science and Technology Policy fellowship with the Department of Energy SunShot Initiative in Washington, D.C. In a few years, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in materials science or public policy. graduate with a bachelor of arts in medical anthropology and minors in biology and Francophone studies. Next year she will begin pursuing a master’s degree in public health at Boston University. Augusta would love to use her degree to improve the health of communities on both local and global scales. Cole Crawford hails from Dubuque, Iowa. He Megan Kangiser grew up in Colorado Springs, Colo. is a member of Creighton’s Honors Program and will graduate with majors in computing science and informatics and English (British Literature concentration). Cole will attend Oregon State University’s English master’s program next year on a Provost’s Fellowship and ultimately hopes to teach at the university level. She will graduate with a degree in psychology. Next fall, she will be attending the University of WisconsinMilwaukee to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, eventually specializing in neuropsychology. Allison Dethlefs is from La Vista, Neb. She will be graduating with a degree in Spanish and minors in studio art and justice and peace studies. After she graduates, she is planning on doing long-term mission work abroad through a post-grad volunteer program and pursuing her passions for artwork and service. Julianna Diddle is from Brookings, S.D. She will graduate with a degree in biology and a minor in Spanish and Hispanic studies. She plans to attend Creighton University School of Medicine beginning in August and is excited to serve her community through the practice of medicine. Ryan Gnabasik grew up outside of Denver. He will graduate with degrees in physics and energy science and a minor in mathematics. After graduation, Ryan will be attending the University of Minnesota as a Ph.D. candidate in their materials science and chemical engineering program. 8 Sarah Kelly is from Omaha. She will graduate with degrees in medical anthropology and justice and society. Starting this summer, Sarah will be doing a year of post-graduate service at the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in Chicago. Eventually she plans to pursue graduate degrees in public health and social work. Elenore Leonard is from Waddell, Ariz. She will graduate with a degree in history after three years of study. She plans to attend the University of Kansas Museum Studies graduate program in the fall. Eventually, she hopes to work as a curator in a natural or cultural history museum. Rachel Lewandowski is from Farwell, Neb. She will graduate with a degree in elementary education. In August, she will begin teaching first grade at Knickrehm Elementary in Grand Island, Nebr. She plans to pursue a master’s in school administration after a few years of teaching experience. Recognition Ceremony MAY 2015 John McCoy is from Peosta, Iowa and is graduating with a degree in international relations and economics. John will continue at Creighton in the master’s program in international relations while working as a regional affairs intern at the Omaha Branch of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. Mary Claire McGlynn is from Belleville, Ill. She will graduate with a double major in biology and philosophy. She plans to attend medical school in the fall and work towards a career in pediatrics and global medicine. Timothy McDermott is from Denver. He will graduate with a degree in psychology and a minor in biology. He plans to work at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as a Professional Research Assistant beginning this summer, assisting with cognitive neuroscience research. Eventually, he plans to pursue a doctoral degree in either clinical psychology or cognitive neuroscience. Leah Schaffer is from Woodbury, Minn. She will graduate with a degree in chemistry and minors in biological physics and theology. Next year, she will be pursuing a doctoral degree in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Amanda Swisher is from Galena, Ill. She will graduate with degrees in Latin and classical and Near Eastern studies and minors in philosophy and art history. She will be attending Creighton’s School of Law in the fall where she plans to study either corporate or intellectual property law. Haley Warren is from Portland, Ore. and where she feels most at peace and called to live. Her past and her passions have led her to major in mathematics and justice & society and to minor in sociology and theology.
