Hello everyone, Seek the Peak is almost here!! Race packages will
Hello everyone, Seek the Peak is almost here!! Race packages will be available for pick-up at Guest Services at the base of Grouse Mountain on Thursday and Friday, June 12 and 13 between 8am-8pm. While you can pick up your package on the race day at Ambleside, we recommend beating the rush and pick it up in advance. The package will also have goodies you’ll need (or want) for race day including: Race bib Skyride ticket for a guest Gifts and info from our event sponsors And, for those who purchased or fundraised $50, your event technical shirt. If you haven’t secured a t-shirt yet, you will be able to purchase one from Guest Services. Please note that there are limited quantities of some shirt sizes. Sizes will be accommodated on a first come basis at package pick-up – so another reason to come in advance! If you are running as a solo, your timing chip will be on the back of your bib. If you are running as a team, you will need to pass a timing chip to your relay partners at every relay checkpoint. Race day shaping up to be a great one! Package pick-up and race day registration will be open from 6:30am to 7:30am at Ambleside Park (Field F). No need to check-in if you picked up your package in advance. The pre-race briefing will begin at 8:00am and Kintec will lead warm-ups at 8:05am. The race will officially begin at 8:15am. At the four aid stations along the course, Whistler Water, Powerade and Vega will keep you energized as you power through the course. Our training partners from Kintec and North Shore Athletics will be manning the stations and cheering you on! More information including shuttles, parking, bag check and more can be found here. Once you have completed the spectacular 16km run, be sure to stay for the celebration and awards ceremony at the top of Grouse Mountain. Our partners will be providing lots of fun activities, samples and a silent auction, by donation (ranging from $1 to $20) to the BC Cancer Foundation. Cash, credit and debit will be accepted. Here’s a preview: BC Cancer Foundation will have some prizes and lead a great silent auction Visit Columbia’s tent and learn more about Columbia Omni Freeze ZERO – the most innovative technical apparel on the market Receive a complimentary Powerade from the Coca Cola Hug Machine Get lucky at our carnival games, including the Whistler Water Ring Toss, Feed the Bear and more Sooth your sore muscles with City Sports & Physiotherapy Try out samples from Spuds, Vega and Salt Spring Island Coffee You can satisfy post-race hunger at the outdoor barbeque and enjoy a well-deserved beer from event sponsor, Molson Canadian (additional cost).
