WHERE THE MAGIC LIVES.
Members - $54 Under 19 - $30
Welcome to the 2015-16 Fredericton Playhouse Spotlight Series – our flagship program at Fredericton’s
premier live performance venue. This season, we are delighted to bring some of the most exciting artists
touring today to our stage.
Diversity is a cornerstone of our Spotlight Series. On the following pages, you’ll find something for every
taste and curiosity. Classical, contemporary and traditional artistic offerings in music, theatre and dance
all come alive in large-scale productions and small intimate concerts.
Our 2015-16 Spotlight Series features a number of familiar artists, but many others are making their
first visit to our community. While it may be easier to commit to the familiar, I encourage you to
take a chance and try something completely new to you. Some of the most rewarding and inspiring
conversations I have had with our patrons are with those who had no idea what to expect when they
came to a performance and left the theatre in awe. So this year, I invite you to take a leap into the
unknown and be prepared to be surprised. Sometimes, that’s where the magic lives.
I would like to thank all of the people and organizations who make this award-winning series work.
Our sponsors, donors (Friends of the Fredericton Playhouse), funders and other partners continue to be
there for us and for you, the audience.
I hope you enjoy these performances as much as we enjoy presenting them to you.

Classic Albums Live performs
Led Zeppelin II
Thursday, November 5
A perennial Playhouse favourite, Classic Albums Live is a group of skilled musicians that
recreates the greatest albums of the ’60s and ’70s live on stage – note for note, cut for
cut. Don’t look for costumes and look-a-like theatrics at these rock recitals, just pure
musicianship and songs that shaped a generation.
Led Zeppelin’s second studio album, Led Zeppelin II, exhibits the band’s evolving
experimental musical style of blues-derived material, and their guitar and riff-based
sound. The album features the band’s biggest hit, “Whole Lotta Love,” along with classic
tracks such as “What is and What Should Never Be,”“Heartbreaker” and “Ramble On.”
Often cited by music writers as a predecessor for subsequent heavy metal bands, Led
Zeppelin II is widely considered one of the most influential rock albums of all time.

Wingfield Lost and Found
Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, November 22 at 2 p.m.
The much beloved Wingfield series returns to the Fredericton Playhouse with the latest
instalment, the insightful and hilarious Wingfield Lost and Found. Set in the midst of a record
drought, the search is on to locate a new well on Wingfield Farm. Along the way, distractions
abound: a high-tech cattle drive, a battle with yellowjackets, a feud with a red-tailed hawk and
a well driller who is all too happy to perforate the ground at forty dollars a foot. Is it the end of
farming for Walt and Maggie, or can the precious liquid be found?
More than an environmental comedy, Wingfield Lost and Found is a
whimsical reminder that searching can turn up more than what is
lost and teach us the value of more than what is found.
