Usage
K-sept soluble effervescent tablets
K-sept is a readily soluble tablet form to produce aqueous antiseptic and disinfectant solutions in various
concentrations. It is available in a range of sizes in order to easily provide concentrations and solution
volumes which suit the requirements of the user.
Elimination of ultra resistant tissue biocontaminants such

Active Ingredient: Troclosene sodium (pure NaDCC) In an inert effervescent tablet base.
The following tablet strengths are available:
750 mg LAC., 1500 mg LAC., 2500 mg LAC., 5000 mg LAC.,
Strength of solutions :
The strengths of tablets were previously indicated as mg of Troclosene Sodium per tablet. This is inaccurate
and misleading as the amount of chlorine derived from the Troclosene depends on its Assay which can vary.
For reason of simplicity the Strength of all our tablets containing Troclosene is now indicated as mg of Latent
Available Chlorine. - LAC. As ppm is identical to mg per Liter , the strength of the tablet in mg LAC will be
the same as the strength of a solution when 1 tablet is dissolved in 1 Liter of water.
Thus a tablet of K-SEPT 750 containing 750mg Latent Available chlorine [LAC] means that one tablet
dissolved in 0.5 Lt water will provide 1500 ppm LAC (or 2 tablets on one liter). The strength that is generally
used in hygeine. Similarly, a tablet of K-SEPT 1500 contains 1500mg Latent Available chlorine [LAC] so that
one tablet dissolved in 1 Lt water will provide 1500 ppm LAC.
Instructions for use:
One effervescent tablet should be allowed to dissolve in the quantity of drinking water indicated in the
table below, in order to produce a solution containing Latent Available Chlorine (LAC) at a pH of 5.5 – 6.2.
One tablet dissolved in 1 Liter of water will provide solution potency in ppm equivalent to the milligram [mg]
LAC strength indicated on the label.
Measure the quantity of water accurately in order to maximize the efficiency of the solution.
Unused portions of prepared solutions (which were not in use) may be stored for up to one week in a
closed suitably labeled and dated container. Care not to leave old labels on bottle!
It is preferable to freshly prepare a quantity of solution to suffice for immediate use rather than storing it.

Care !
Do not swallow the tablets, they are intended to be dissolved in water in order to obtain an
antiseptic solution!
Keep this product in a safe place out of reach of children or infants, thus preventing accidents.
In the case of ingestion of a tablet or swallowing of the prepared solution
DRINK MILK TO NEUTRALIZE.
You should apply to a Hospital Casualty department, and take this leaflet with you. Do not induce
vomiting without a specific order to do so from a physician!
Storage: Keep in a dark dry place up to 25oC, and do not allow contact of the tablets with acids. Reclose the pack so as to prevent entry of air and moisture.
Unused portions of prepared K-SEPT solutions (which were not in use) may be stored for up to 10
days in a closed suitably labeled and dated container. However, it is preferable to freshly prepare a
quantity of solution to suffice the immediate use rather than storing it.
Even when stored according to recommended conditions, Disinfectants have a limited life.
Pay attention to the expiry date of the product! If in doubt, consult a pharmacist or other disinfection
expert.
Do NOT store other products in empty K-SEPT containers.

‫המוצר זמין במספר חוזקים כדי לספק בקלות תמיסות בריכוז ונפחים שונים העונים על צרכי המשתמש‪.‬‬

‫יש להוסיף טבליה תוססת אחת לכמות מים מדודה על פי הטבלה המופיעה בעלון זה‪ ,‬כדי לייצר תמיסת כלור זמין )‪ (LAC‬ב ‪pH‬‬
‫‪. 5.5-6.2‬טבליה אחת המומסת ב‪ 1-‬ליטר מים תייצר תמיסה בריכוז )חל"מ( השווה לחוזק הטבליה )מ"ג( המופיע על התוית‪.‬‬
‫יש למדוד את כמות המים בצורה מדויקת כדי למקסם את יעילות התמיסה‪.‬‬

‫לתשומת לב‪:‬‬
‫אין לבלוע את הטבליות‪ ,‬הם מיועדות להמסה במים ליצרת תמיסה אנטיספטית!‬
‫יש לשמור את המוצר במקום מוגן הרחק מגישת ילדים ותינוקות‪ ,‬ובכך למנוע תאונות‪.‬‬
‫במקרה של בליעת טבליה או שתיית התמיסה יש לשתות כוס חלב!‬
‫יש להגיע לבית החולים לחדר מיון‪ ,‬קח\י עלון זה איתך‪ .‬אין לעודד הקאה ללא הנחייה מפורשת מרופא!‬
‫איחסון‪:‬‬
‫יש לשמור במקום חשוך ויבש עד ל ‪ ,25oC‬אין לאפשר מגע של הטבליות עם חומצה‪ .‬יש לסגור את הקופסה לאחר הוצאת טבליה‬
‫כדי למנוע חשיפה לאויר ולחות‪.‬‬
‫ניתן לאחסן עד ל‪ 10-‬ימים תמיסת קיי ספט שהוכנה ולא נעשה בה שימוש‪ ,‬יש לאחסן במיכל סגור ומסומן הכולל את שם המוצר‬
‫ותאריך ההכנה‪ .‬למרות זאת עדיף להכין תמיסה טרייה לשימוש מיידי ולא להשתמש בתמיסה ישנה‪ .‬יש לזכור כי אל אף שיבוצע‬
‫איחסון על פי הוראות אילו לחומרי חיטוי זמן חיים מוגבל‪.‬‬
‫יש לשים לב לתוקף המוצר! במידת הצורך התייעץ ברוקח או במומחה זיהומים‪.‬‬
‫אין לאחסן מוצרים אחרים במיכל הקיי ספט‪.‬‬
