Återställning av chip på Epson patroner
1. Rikta in metallpinnarna på chip-återställaren, JR Zap-It, mot chippet
på patronen enligt bilden, fig. 1.
Den L-formade plastbiten kan hjälpa till att få patronen i rätt läge.
Den L-formade plastbiten går att ta av.
2. Pressa försiktigt chip-återställaren mot patronen i några sekunder,
se fig. 2. Lampan avger en röd blink, fig 3. Därefter avger den ett
grönt sken, fig. 4, som indikerar att chippet blivit återställt.
Notera: Det måste finnas minst 20 % bläck kvar i patronen när chippet ska återställas. Vid mindre
mängd bläck är det sannolikt att återställningen INTE kommer att fungera.
Felsökning
1. LAMPAN blir inte grön:
a) Kontrollera att metallpinnarna får kontakt med kontaktytorna på
patronens chip.
b) Gör försiktigt rent kontaktytorna med en mjuk torkduk.
c) Har patronen 20 % bläck kvar inuti? Om inte kan Epson-tekniken
inuti patronen hindra chippet från att bli återställt.
d) Chippet är skadat och kan inte återställas.
2. Det blir dålig kvalitet på utskrifterna:
a) Försök göra rent skrivarens skrivhuvud genom att köra en rengörmunstycken-cykel, finns i skrivarprogrammet.
b) Låt bläcket spridas ordentligt i patronen om bubblor bildas på
patronens insida. Gör detta genom att låta patronen stå med
munstycket/-ena nedåt i ca. 8 timmar.
c) Om det är en patron där lufthålet (OBS! INTE munstycket) har
tejpats igen: ta bort tejpen och kör därefter en rengör-munstyckencykel.

Resetting the cartridge (7-Contact Cartridges)
1. Align the cartridge so the metal pins on the chip resetter match up to the
points shown in (fig.1). There are 2 L-Shaped piece of plastic in the box, will
act as a guide and hold the cartridge in the correct position.
2. Press and hold the cartridge and resetter for a few seconds(fig.2). The chip
resetter will blink red(fig.3) and then should turn to a solid green light(fig.4) to
indicate it has been successfully reset.
Troubleshooting
1.The LED does not turn green
a) Make sure you are connecting the metal pins on the resetter up to
the contacts on the chip on the cartridge.
b) Try cleaning the chip on the cartridge with a soft cloth to remove
any dirt or oil
c) Does the cartridge still have 20% of ink left inside of it. If not the
Epson mechanism inside the cartridge will prevent it being reset.
d) The chip is damaged and will not allow itself to be reset (nothing
can be done to
2. I am getting poor quality prints
a) Try cleaning the print heads using the printers inbuilt head cleaning
mechanism
b) Sometimes air bubbles can form inside the cartridge during the
refilling process. Try leaving the cartridge to stand for 8 hours with the
exit nozzle pointing downwards
c) The air hole on the underside of the cartridge is still sealed.
Remove any blockage and run a head clean.
