RE:thinking the LTH Campus
During the autumn term of 2014, an international group of students at Lund
University participated in the advanced course “Sustainable Urban Recycling”
in the masters programme in Sustainable Urban Design at the School of Architecture.
Throughout the studio-based course the students engaged in an exploration of
various aspects of the existing urban structure around the LTH area identifying
problems and potentials and finally suggesting opportunities for a sustainable
transformation.
The design studio resulted in 37 unique projects in which the students have
challenged conventional notions of sustainability and proposed new designs
preparing and supporting the integration of the LTH area into the existing and
proposed urban network of Lund. Joining the districts of Lund and bringing recycling programs into the everyday environments of Lund. This exhibition provides you with insight into each of the students proposals.
