5.6.-30.8.2015 Jorma Kuulan muistonäyttely - The Jorma Kuula Commemorative Exhibition
Alkuvuodesta edesmenneen kemiläisen taidemaalarin muistonäyttely esittelee laajasti Kuulan tuotantoa
1970-luvulta hänen viimeisiin elinvuosiinsa saakka. / The Commemorative Exhibition of the lately
deceased artist in Kemi, Jorma Kuula, exhibits largely the production of the artist from
the 1970’s all the way up to his latest years
Historiallisen museon perusnäyttely ”Meren ja
joen kaupunki” käsittelee Kemin ja lähialueiden
historiaa, meren ja joen vaikutusta alueen
kulttuurin ja elinkeinojen sekä puuteollisuuden
muotoutumiseen.
The main exhibition of the Historical Museum,
“The City of the Sea and the River”, explores the
history of the city of Kemi and the regions in the
vicinity, of the effects of the sea and the river in
the region’s cultural as well as economical life in
the area.

KEMIN SARJAKUVANÄYTTELY KEMI COMICS EXHIBITION

Kemin sarjakuvakeskuksen koko perheen
sarjakuvanäyttely koostuu muun muassa yli 20
suomalaisen ja ulkomaalaisen piirtäjän
originaalipiirroksista ja yli 40 kolmiulotteisesta
sarjakuvapatsaasta. Näyttelystä löytyy
esimerkiksi B.Virtasen toimisto, Viivin ja
Wagnerin olohuone ja osa Ankkalinnan
katumaisemaa.

The Comics Exhibition, directed for the whole
family at the Kemi Comics Centre, consist, among
others, of original drawings created by over 20
Finnish and foreign comics artists as well as of
over 40 three-dimensional comics figures by
various artists. In the exhibition you may find,
among others parts of the street-scenery of the
Duckburg, the Castle of Donald Duck.

JALOKIVIGALLERIA - GEMSTONE GALLERY

Vuonna 1912 valmistuneeseen tullirakennukseen
sijoittuva galleria esittelee ainutlaatuisen
kokoelman raaka- ja korukiviä eri puolilta
maailmaa. Kokoelman tähtinä loistavat
maailman tunnetuimpien kruununjalokivien ja
timanttien jäljennökset sekä Suomen Kuninkaan
kruunu.

The Gemstone Gallery in Kemi hosts a remarkable
collection of both minerals and some more
valuable gemstones from around the world. The
stars shining in the collection are the replicas of
some of the best known crown jewels and
diamonds in the world, not forgetting the
authentic Crown of the King of Finland, with its
highly unique historic story.

Lumi- ja jäärakentamista sekä Kemin lumilinnojen
20-vuotista historiaa esittelevä
näyttelykokonaisuus Kemin Sisäsatamassa on
avoinna ympäri vuoden. Vanhassa hirsistä
rakennetussa tullimakasiinissa näyttelyn
yhteydessä matkamuistomyymälä.

The SnowCastle Exhibition, depicting the
SnowHow, the Constructing from Snow and Ice,
as well as the history of all the twenty
SnowCastles built annually in the Inner Port of
Kemi, is open throughout the year. The Exhibition,
located in the former log-built Customs
Storehouse, hosts also a Souvenir Shop.

Suomessa 1961-1987 valtion jäänmurtajana
toiminut Sampo on vuodesta 1988 lähtien
tarjonnut unohtumattomia jäänmurtajaristeilyjä
matkailijoille. Kesäkaudella pääset tutustumaan
Sampoon sen kotisatamassa Ajoksessa.
Aluksella myös kahvila ja Sampo Shop.
Sampo, serving the Finnish Government from
1961-1987, was transformed into a worldrenowned Cruise Icebreaker in 1988, ever since
offering unforgettable cruising experiences on
the frozen waters of the Gulf of Bothnia. During
the summer season you have the chance to visit
the Sampo in the Port of Ajos.
The vessel hosts also a cosy Cafe and the Sampo
Shop for souvenir shopping.
