Description
Device which records and stores your trips.
ODO-10 automatically forwards your data to the servers via the cellular
network.
ODO-10 records and stores your trips in the device. A manual
synchronization is necessary to forward the data to Odotracks servers
Software module which allows real time view of the vehicle’s
movement.
The GPS drivers required to use the ODO-10.

II.
Getting Started
1. OdoSync Installation
Go to www.odotrack.ca/install/odo10
This installation webpage will allow you to:
1. Validate that Java is installed on your computer
2. Install drivers for the ODO-10 device
3. Install the OdoSync application
2. Java Installation
Java is required for the OdoSync application. The installation page automatically validates your
operating system. If it is correctly configured, the following message will display:
You can then proceed to the next step: OdoSync Installation.
If Java is not installed, or your version does not meet the requirements, a red error message will
display.
You must install Java. Click on “Start Java installation”.

Below the button you have just clicked, a window will display on the current page. In this
window click on the button for the Java download. The installation will start.

Depending on your web browser, you will be asked to run or save the file; click run.
Your web browser might trigger a security warning; press “Run” to start the Java installation.
A window will welcome you to the Java installation; click on “Install” to start the installation.

The software will recommend a free program installation with Java; leave this checkbox
unchecked. OdoSynch does not require any other program. Click on “Next”.
The Java installation progress will display on the screen. Depending on your computer, the
installation may take several minutes.

Once the installation completed, the OdoSync installation page will automatically be refreshed
and will confirm that your operating system now has the accurate Java version. You may start
the installation by clicking the “Start Odotrack Installation” button.

3. OdoSync Installation
I.
Click on “Start Odotrack Installation” on the installation page.
II.
Click on “Run” or “Open with... ” (depending on your browser), when you will be
prompted to download the installation file. Java will automatically start the application
at the end of the download.
III.
A dialog box will display to install the GPS drivers. Click on “Yes” to install them.
IV.
With Windows XP or a more recent version, a security warning might display when
installing the drivers. Click on “Authorize”; the application is harmless to your computer.
V.
A new alert concerning the drivers’ certificate will display. The product being safe, you
can click on “Install this driver anyway”.

VI.
A dialog window will display the installation progress. When the installation is complete,
press “Finish”.
VII.
The OdoSync application will automatically launch. The authentication window will
display. This window will confirm that the installation has successfully completed.
You are now ready to synchronize your travels.

4. Synchronization with OdoSync
I.
An OdoSync icon will be on your desktop. Double-click on this icon to launch the
application. The authentication window will display.
II.
Enter your username (the e-mail address associated to your Odotrack account) and your
password. Forgot your password? Go to www.odotrack.ca/fr/password_forgotten
III.
With the USB cable included in the box, plug the ODO-10 to your computer’s USB port.
Important: the device’s screen must display “USB MODE”. If the ODO-10’s screen
blinks, the GPS drivers are not correctly installed. You may reinstall them by clicking on

When plugging the ODO-10 to your computer for the first time, a window will display indicating
the detection of new hardware. Leave the selection to “Yes, this time only” and click on “Next”.
Your computer will automatically find the GPS drivers. Leave the selection to “Automatically
install software” and click “Next”.

A window will display regarding the compatibility with Windows, click on “Continue” since the
GPS drivers and OdoSynch software drivers are safe.

Click on “Finish” to end the addition of new hardware.
IV.
Once the device is plugged to the OdoSync application, click the “Connect” button on
the lower left corner of the OdoSync screen.
V.
Select the vehicle to which your trips will be associated. A comments field will allow you
to mark each trip. The comments will automatically default the date and time of your
synchronization.

VI.
Select the data period you want to transfer. The defaulted period includes all
information contained in the memory.

Click on “Synchronize”.

VIII.
The application will then proceed to data processing with all information contained in
the ODO-10. The data will synchronize with the one on www.odotrack.ca before erasing
from the device.
***Note that this function is valid only if you select the checkbox “Erase memory”.
IX.
Click “OK” to complete the process and click on “My Odotrack”. This will open your web
browser and automatically direct you to www.odotrack.ca.

Access your account by clicking “Connect”.

Uninstalling OdoSync
1. Uninstalling from Windows XP station
On the desktop, click on “Start” and “Control Panel”.
In the control panel window, double-click on “Add or Remove Programs”.

A new window will display with all the programs and software installed on your computer. Be
careful not to uninstall the wrong program by mistake, this action is irreversible. Scroll down
the list to “OdoTrack – OdoSynch”.
Select the program “OdoTrack – OdoSynch” and click “Remove”.

A new window will confirm the removal of OdoSynch, click “OK”.
To confirm that the application is uninstalled, go to the control panel and click on “Java”.

In the ‘General’ tab of the control panel, click on “View”.
In the Java cache viewer, the “OdoTrack – OdoSynch” application should no longer display. If it
does appear, select the application and click on the “X” button to delete it. Repeat this step if
the application appears more than once.

Go back to the list of currently installed programs, select the program “PT100 personal tracer”
and click “Remove”.
A new window will display inviting you to chose an option, click on “Remove” and then on the
“Next” button.

A dialog window will ask you to confirm that you wish to uninstall the program. Click “OK”.
The program will proceed to uninstall the GPS drivers. A window will then display when the
process is completed. Click on “Finish”.
