village Börjeslandet. The purchase with the father are signed 1828, when the brother Nils
Nilsson born 13.06.1810, took over the other half of no 5 (Hedmans). Hans moved likely
to that spot where the family Enströms are now reside. Hans Nilsson was married twice.

Notes: Lars Henric Berg was executed on “Gäddviksheden” 19.12.1828, for an attempt
(year 1827) to murder with robbery the shoemaker Johan Lövfeldt, that Berg had
promised to drive to village Råneå for payment. The robbery took place 50 meter from
present E4:an (freeway Vintervägen/Grundträskbäcken).
There is an article about this in the newspaper Norrbottens Kuriren, 7/10-78. Mr Johan
Lövfeldt did survive, and was present when Lars Henric Berg was decapitation.
Lars Henric Berg was probably the last person executed in Norrbotten, Sweden. Since
1921, death sentence are forbidden by the Statute Book of Sweden .
Bergs wife Elsa Eriksdotter, remarried 1831 with Anders Eliasson from village Ale, born
03.01.1799. They lived on farm ”Lillväbb” until year 1850. Eric Persson from farm no 1,
married the daughter Maria Brita Larsdotter and took over the farm. Eliasson died
06.07.1868.

Magnus Knutsson Lejon. Hans was a “bastard”, born before the wedding. He became a
foster-child on farm no 8, Henrik Olofsson. Hans took over the farm and married Brita
Nilsdotter from Bensbyn. Soldier Magnus Lejon resigned from the army 1777 and became
a farmer in Ersnäs.

noted as owner of the whole farm no 5, 37/128 mtl. The year 1823 take the son Hans
Nilsson over half of ”Häärshemmanet” or 37/256 mtl. The second half is later taking over
1833 by the youngest son Nils Nilsson (Hedmans). That part Hans Nilsson became owner
for is later overtook by his brother-in-law Aron Enström, around year 1837.

in Börjeslandet, half of the farm ”Vääbb”. Han lived on the central house at ”Vääbb”, at
present family Bäckströms. The other half of farm, was owned by Lars Persson no 2
(Gunnar Lindkvist). The daughter Elsa that married here cousin Lars Henric Berg, did get
a part (2/32) of his fathers estate. He gave the rest to the son Erik Eriksson Holmström
(3/32), that later on year 1828 sold it to soldier Anders Mårtensson Sund, at present
family Erik Bäckström.

Notes: Henric Larsson Lifbom was a soldier on rota no 104, Rypa year 1720. At the age
of 17 years 1735, he had advanced to corporal and driver. Discharge 1738. His first wife
Brita Hansdotter died 36 years old 1749. He remarried the same year. The son Olaf was
born 1750 and did advanced to armour-master the year 1786, attended the Finnish war
as a second lieutenant 1796-1809 at Torneå company. The house for the lieutenant was
in upper Vojakkalla, that was laid waste by the enemy Russians. Olof Lifbom signed
resignation year 1809 and did get from the state 1837, 1 200 riksdaler for the damage he
did get from the war. At this time Olof Lindholm had since long time took over the farm
from the father in Persön, and he created one of the finest farm in the parish. His brother
did get married in Ängesbyn.

Notes: ”12 man” lay assessor Nils Knutsson own a very large estate no 9, 4/8 mtl. On
this homestead they gather the largest harvest of barley in the parish (100 skylar), the
year of 1750. The father was also a lay assessor, and born 1700, married 3 times and
died of old age the year of 1782. Nils Knutsson divided no 9, between the son Nils born
1771 and the son-in-law Per Hindersson Lifbom, born 1753. Nils Knutsson died of old age
1819, 83 years old. His wife Anna Isacsdotter died 1809 of ”fältsmitta”, 79 years old.

Notes: Magnus Knutsson Leijon, born 1739 is the stepson to Per Larsson in the village
Unbyn. Magnus became soldier no 113 (Leijon) at Luleå Company Västerbottens
regiment. He registered 2/10, 1760 at 21 years of age. He attended the whole war at
Pommern, ”Pommerska kriget”. He served as a soldier for 17 years, he asked for
resignation, and was dismissed the year of 1777. The year of 1774, has Magnus
Knutsson according to Luleå law book, applied to build a soldier croft at the island
”Björkön” outside of Bensbyn, but the farmers in the village would not sanction the
proposal. He became however a farmer and lived in the village Ersnäs, around year 1778.

49 years old.

Notes: Hans Petter Persson ”Besken”, became motherless at 3 years of age. He had 6
sisters and brothers, and he did get a stepmother. When he was 13 year old, he did get 4
extra siblings. He left home early, served as a farmhand in Ängesbyn, Björsbyn och
Sunderbyn. He was doing trade. Married in Sunderbyn year 1838. The year 1839 he
acquired 1/16 Mtl of no 3 for 625 riksdaler (Läjanhemmet). Some years later, 1/16 Mtl of
no 4 (Långnäset). 3/5 1872 he sells his homesteads to the sons Johannes Persson and
Fredric Hansson. Hans Petter Persson was a enterprising and energetic man. They are
still talking about him in the village, he liked to sing and did not ”spit in the glass” (thats
way they call him the nickname “Läjanbesken”). The couple did both reach old age, he
died at 82 years old. Still today the song, “Läjangubbens visa” are singed.

3:5 was takeing over by the son Axel, and he had to move partly by coercion to Brorstorp
1910.
