Sara Calo - President
The OAR President is the chief elected officer of the Association and has the responsibility for all action and activities of the Association. The President is looked upon as
the primary spokesperson for the Association and real estate industry in Ohio. The
President is officially installed at the Association’s Winter Conference in January.
Sara has been a licensed REALTOR since 1998. She is a member of the Lake & Geauga Area Association of REALTORS®
and the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS®; and is licensed with Howard Hanna.
On the local level, Sara has served as President of the Lake Geauga Area Association of REALTORS® and on numerous
committees including: Nominating, RPAC, Finance, Legislative and Strategic Planning. She also served on the District
2 YPN Advisory Board and as an instructor for the New REALTOR® Orientation. She has received the LGAAR REALTOR® of the Year, CABOR Professional of the Year and WCR Business Person of the Year among many other awards
of distinction. She is a graduate of Leadership Lake County, Class of 2012 and has served as Chairman of her local
Chamber of Commerce.
On the state level, Sara served as President-elect in 2015, Treasurer in 2014, District #2 Vice President from 20112012, and as an OAR Director since 2005. She has served as Chairman of several OAR committees, including Finance,
Communications, Economic Issues & Trends Forum and the Political Activity & RPAC Fundraising Committee, where
during her year as Chair, RPAC exceed their goal by almost $100,000. She has also served as a member of the Executive Committee, Enlarged Legislative, Legislative Steering, Research Advisory, Professional Development and Scholarship Committees. She has received OAR's President's Sales Club Award of Distinction for several years.
On the national level, Sara has served on the Global Business & Alliances Committee, RPAC Participation Council,
Business Issues Policy, Research, Consumer Communications and Diversity Committees. In 2016 she will serve as
the State Representative of the RPAC Major Investor Council. She served as Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) for
Representative Marcy Kaptur. Sara served as the Ohio representative to NAR’s My REALTOR Party Participation Council. She was a NAR director in 2014 and will continue in that position through 2017. She contributes to RPAC at the
Golden R Major Investor Level and is a President’s Circle Member.
Sara holds the ABR, CRS, PMN, AHWD, e-PRO, RSS designations. She is also a member of the Council or Residential
Specialists, Women's Council of REALTORS®, National Association of Hispanic REALTORS® and Real Estate Buyer's
Agency Council. In 2016 she is a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) candidate
Sara and her husband, Jack, reside in Mayfield Village, Ohio and have two daughters.

President-elect
The OAR President-elect automatically moves
up the ranks from the position of Treasurer,
ultimately becoming President of the Association the following year.
The primary responsibility of the Presidentelect is to become more acquainted with the
operation of the Association and to fill in for
the President as needed. The President-elect
also serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee.
Pete has been a licensed REALTOR® since 1996
in Ohio and Kentucky.
On the local level, Pete served as President of
the Cincinnati Area Board of REALTORS and
on numerous committees including: Budget
& Finance, RPAC, Strategic Planning, Legislative, Emerging Issues, MLS Operations, YPN
and Professional Standards. He has been a
Circle of Excellence member since 2000 and
received the CABR REALTOR® of the Year-Sales
in 2005. He is Co-Founder & Board member
of Cincinnati Golfers for Charity and a member of the Ohio River Valley Arthritis Foundation Annual Fund Committee.
On the state level, Pete has served as an OAR
director since 2007, 2013 Chair of the Local
Government Forum, 2012 Vice Chair of the
Local Government Forum, Chair of the OAR
Legislative Steering Committee in 2014 and
Vice Chair in 2013 and on numerous other
committees, including: Strategic Planning,
Issues Mobilization Subcommittee, OAR
Statewide Residential Contract Task Force,
Nominating Committee, Executive Committee
and Finance Committee.
On the national level, Pete served on the
Business Issues Committee in 2011, and
2013-2016. He served on the Meeting and
Conference Committee in 2014 as well as
the Member Communications Committee in
2015. Pete will serve as Vice Chair of the Idea
Exchange Council for Brokers in 2016. He has
also been an NAR Director from 2010-2011,
and 2015-2018. Pete contributes to RPAC at
the Sterling R level and is a President’s Circle
member.
Pete and his wife, Heather reside in Cincinnati
Ohio and have three children.

Tiffany Meyer
Treasurer
The Treasurer is the chief-elected financial officer of the Association and, as
such, is responsible, in cooperation with
OAR’s Finance Department, for monitoring the financial condition of the Association.
Tiffany has been a licensed REALTOR®
since 1995.
On the local level, Tiffany served as President of the Ashland Board of REALTORS®
in 2005 and again in 2014. She has also
served on numerous committees including: Public Relations, Website, MLS, RPAC
and Legislative. She served as Chair of
the Nominating Committee in 2006 and
Vice Chair in 2014. She is a Leadership
Ashland Graduate, has served on the Ashland City Strategic Planning Committee
and is a member and previous president
of the Humane Society.
On the state level, Tiffany served as an
OAR director since 2004. She has also
chaired many committees including: 2013
Chair of the Legislative Steering & Enlarged Legislative Committees, 2012 Chair
of the Local Government Forum, 2009
Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee
and 2011 Chair of the Young Professionals Network. She served on the OAR
Executive Committee in 2006, 2008-2009,
2013-2019; the Finance Committee in
2015 and 2016-2018 and numerous other
committees and task forces. She has also
served as District Vice President in 20082009 and 2014-2015.
On the national level, Tiffany served on
the 2012 Federal Housing Policy Committee, 2014 Meeting & Conference Committee, 2015-2016 Land Use Property Rights
& Environment Committee, 2016 Idea
Exchange Council for Brokers and will be
an NAR Director from 2016-2019.
Tiffany and her fiancé Gabe reside in
Ashland, Ohio.
Robert E. Fletcher
Chief Executive Officer
The CEO is the chief administrative officer of the
Association. He is responsible for day-to-day operations, implementation of approved policies and
programs and supervision of staff.
For the past 20 years Bob Fletcher has played an
integral role in advancing the interests and concerns
of Ohio’s real estate professionals at the state and national level, serving as OAR’s chief lobbyist and senior
vice president.
In 2010, Bob added the role of the organization’s chief
executive officer to his responsibilities, with oversight of a 22-person professional staff that directs all
facets of the Association’s day-to-day operations and
programs.
Recognized as one of the leading public policy experts
in Ohio, Bob was awarded the “Green Jacket” by the
Ohio House Republican Leadership in 1998, an annual
award presented to an outstanding lobbyist. He also
served as the president of the Ohio Lobbying Association in 1998. His expertise in the governmental affairs
area was similarly recognized within the REALTOR organization when he was elected by his peers to serve
as chairman of the National Association of REALTORS
Government Affairs Directors Committee in 2002.
Bob was appointed by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland in
2008 to serve on the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board, charged with oversight of the operation of
the Ohio State House and parking garage facility.
Civically, for the past 12 years he has served as
Treasurer of the University Community Association,
designed to promote homeownership and quality
of life issues in the area surrounding The Ohio State
University.
Bob is a 1973 graduate of Bowling Green State University and a 1976 graduate of The Ohio State University
College of Law. Additionally, in 1997 he graduated
from the Institute for Organizational Management
offered at the University of Delaware, a six-year
program offered in collaboration with the American
Society of Association Executives and U.S. Chamber of
Commerce designed to enhance Association management skills.
Prior to joining OAR, Bob served as legislative counsel
to the Ohio State Bar Association for 12 years. In
that capacity, he served as a lobbyist, formulated
legislative policies, oversaw development of a weekly
newsletter and directed the work of several standing
committees of the Bar.

The Committee’s primary purpose is to: 1) provide assistance,
guidance and direction to Local Boards in connection with law
suits in which they become involved which has significance
beyond the local situation; 2) recommend cases which should

State Association and following through on those approved actions; 3) oversee all litigation in which the Ohio Association of

Formulates and recommends policies and programs designed to
meet the educational needs of members. The scope of the committee's involvement shall include state educational requirements and
related programs offered by the Association, the Ohio REALTORS® Institute (GRI), specialized training programs, instructor development,

The Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing is a part of the Ohio Department of Commerce; the Division is the official licensing agency for all 45,000 real estate licensees in Ohio. The Division is staffed by 40 professionals in Columbus and Cleveland who carry out rules handed down during the monthly Real Estate Commission
meetings.
Staffers process initial applications and renewals of more than 45,000 real estate licensees annually, monitor the
Anne M. Petit quality of continuing education courses and ensure the necessary credit has been obtained by license renewals.

Ohio Real Estate Commission
The Ohio Real Estate Commission is a five-member group, appointed by the Governor, that meets once a month in the Division offices.
Four of the five must be active brokers. Commissioners set licensing requirements, make rules concerning licensees, handle complaints
about violations of state laws and regulations and suspend and revoke licenses. Commissioners also certify courses for continuing education credit and oversee the special Recovery Account.

Ohio Real Estate Appraiser Board
The Ohio Real Estate Appraiser Board functions like the Ohio Real Estate Commission. The Board is the last stop for disputes over
licenses and over licensees’ actions. It can choose to renew licenses for appraisers who miss renewal deadlines; it can revoke or suspend
licenses when it determines appraisers violated appraisal laws.
The Board is a Governor-appointed panel with rule making authority over the group it regulates—the appraisers. The state Legislature
enacts laws concerning appraisers, such as how many hours the state requires for licensing and certification;
Board members set specific policies to carry out those laws. Its Cleveland based staff of five—known as the Appraisal Section—is an arm
of the Ohio Division of Real Estate.

State Chapter President -- Bradley Fry
The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field.
The CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in
