the information required in order to have a full
understanding of what the effects would be
 The Nisga’a Nation initiated the Dispute Resolution
process described in the Treaty
 BC granted the EA Certificate
 BC, Canada, and the Nisga’a Nation entered
discussions to resolve the dispute
 If unsuccessful the final step in the DR process is
litigation
 To preserve its rights, the Nisga’a Nation initiated
legal proceedings
